I found this thread funny. Something to read in the bye week. While I agree on some points that I would prefer the Patriots play the Jets next week then the Ravens, I find it funny that Jets fans need the validation of Patriots fans being Jets fans for a week. I also kinda want the Jets to win so that Cromartie pick becomes a 2nd rounder for nothing (after we beat them again in Foxboro).

I'm a HUGE Jets fans this week. I want them right in Foxboro (whether they want to or not) on January 16th.

Just like Rex, I'm into domination and humiliation.

I hope they kill each other and some how it could end in a tie

Thats what I was saying last year during the AFC championship game. However, it ended better than that with the jets losing to the colts and manning being humiliated in the SB

I don't F**king think so.

It doesn't matter. The Pats should beat either team.

If the Jets win this weekend, SD gets their second round pick (Cromartie deal). The Jets haven't shown that their D can stop a post-Moss, team oriented, and balanced offense the Pats now utilize.

OTOH, the Colts aren't as physical and I believe the Pats will beat them by more than 3 points the second time around.

What if KC beats Baltimore?

Just saying

In a perfect world, the Colts shockingly lose big (by 20+ points) this weekend, ushering in the whole "is this the beginning of the end for Manning and Co.?" and the Jets go into the second round displaying even more hubris than at any point during the Rex Ryan era. Furthermore, the mediots all rush to jump on the Jests bandwagon, predicting than they will roll into Foxborough and upset the number one seed, using the sagacious "team of destiny" angle to back up their delusions. And then the Patriots come out and drop another 40+ on them and flirt with keeping them off the scoreboard over 60 minutes.

Indeed, this would be my ideal scenario. :rocker:

I'm really going to enjoy watching football this weekend without the stress of worrying about what the patriots will do

The only game in the playoffs (AFC or NFC) I care about is I hope KC beats Baltimore. Other than that, I'm willing to wait and see what happens.

Would be nice to have another crack at Baltimore in the divisional rd. No?

I'm prefer that the Jets beat the Colts; then the Jets would be out a second round pick, and we'd get to thrash them again.

The way I see it, there are nice stories revolving every potential divisional opponent. Be nice to send the Jets home. Be nice to get revenge on the Ravens. Be nice to beat the Chiefs, thus having beaten every AFC playoff team this year. If it comes to it in the Championship game, be nice to beat Manning again, and it's always nice to beat the Steelers.

Yes and no. I don't care who we avoid to get to the SB, as long as we get there. I for one would be totally fine playing NYJ then KC (and even then playing Seattle in the SB)

It really hurts me to say this, but I will be rooting for the Colts this week.

I've changed my mind. I would rather the Pats face the Ravens after a bye and with extended preparation (don't think they are watching film on the Chiefs or Jets this week) than face them after an emotional/physical Jets week.

It will be very satisfying seeing Rex explain a one-n-done coming off an AFCC appearance and going all-in this offseason. It should be a fun 2011 for them considering their cap situation and the new CBA (and they still have Holmes, Edwards, Cromartie, Harris, Ellis, Pool, BSmith unsigned). And I'm sure that Pace, Scott, Jenkins, Woody, Moore, Cotchery, Thomas, Tomlinson and Taylor (with their combined $42M cap charge) will all become more effective next year as they enter their early to mid 30's. At least they have Wilson, Ducasse, McKnight and Conner in the talent pipeline. Gawd, this team can't die soon enough and I would rather let a porcupine give me a proctology exam than pull for these punks to win.

The best part is that once the Jets FO gets tired of Rex's act (ETA: early 2012), it will set them back for years. The only way to disinfect this team will be to burn it to the ground and start over. Get your gasoline ready!
