Not sure where these measurements come from, but they're all on the low side. FWIW, official drafttime numbers:

TBC - 6'2.1" 264
Ninko - 6'3.1" 260
JC - 6'3.3" 266

They came directly off the Pats websight.

Yes, and we all know that the Pats are so forthcoming with information. I mean, they tell us exactly what a player injured or why he's out... oh wait...

Yeah, OK. And Danny Woodhead is 5'9.

But, the fact still remains that 6'3-6'4 260 is still 'big enough' to play OLB.

Regarding Houston, He may be listed at a height and weight that seems to fit what the patriots are looking for, but he just did not pass the eyeball test. I will grant you that my sampling is small for him, but I watched the Georgia bowl game and he looked short, he looked like he had a real hard time with OLineman and he showed zero pass rush moves. I wrote somewhere else that he looked really short with short arms too. There are different body types, and I think the Patriots like those guys that are longer in the upper body rather than the lower, he seems to be the latter if he is indeed 6'3+ which I highly doubt. If I had to guess, he will measure in closer to 6'2 than 6'3

I completely agree that 6'3-6'4 260 is "big enough." I'm pretty skeptical, though, that Houston is really that big -- we'll see when the legit measurements come out. Edit: just saw midwestpatsfan's response. Totally agree, he looks maybe 6'2" 250 to me.

FWIW I like Houston, but I'm not sold on him as 1st-round Patriots value. He seems like a pure speed rusher, period.

A true 6'3 or 6'4 is big enough.. Players shorter than that haven't excelled at OLB for BB.. And that is where Houston falls when he measures out at 6'2 3/8"

I'm not even putting much faith in that number at this point...nfldraftscout's height & weight numbers do change a lot every spring.

Vinny Curry 6'4'' 255 how about him if he declares?

Do you think Pete Carrol will let him leave Seattle early? :p

Though I believe you meant Vinny Curry, Marshall - I think he'd be an excellent fit for NE OLB.

If there ever were a year for BB to look toward juniors, this is it. I suspect that Houston will put up better times than Curry, but Curry seems like a more complete player, and pleasingly relentless.

Thank you O kind Sir, yes that is who i was referring to.

Vinny Curry is an interesting one. One of the few real "fits" for that Joker spot. They're deep at the Sam with Cunningham and Ninko, and a lot of the early prospects in the discussion strike me as Sam fits. Quinn is really the only clear first round Joker fit to me, and I'm quite cautious about him. Curry could very well be the next best fit.

When these players i.e. Curry, A Smith, Kerrigan etc. hit the combine i think they're stock is really going to go up. While i'm starting to lean towards an OLB with pass rushing abilities (vs a DE) i have to think going by Belichicks drafting history he won't take one.

I see Curry's size listed as 6-4 252. He plays DE though so he would be another conversion project for us. Maybe in a later round? How long will he last?

At the moment I see him carrying a late second-to-third round grade.

As far as the conversion, Curry is nationally ranked in Total Tackles - this is a defensive end who covers so much territory he's ranked. He's also ranked nationally in sacks and TFL. If his listed height/weight are correct, I suspect he could play OLB for NE around 260 without losing any speed/quickness.
