Predict the Score: Wildcard Weekend

Hey Alamo do you feel like doing a predict the score for the playoffs? I think it would be kind of cool. Although a lot of work, at least your workload goes down the further the playoffs progress!

The wildcard round matchups:

AFC
IND Colts vs NY Jets
KC Chiefs vs. BAL Ravens

NFC
GB Packers vs PHI Eagles
NO Saints vs. SEA Seahawks

I'm gonna go
Colts 27 Jets 20
BAL 20 KC 17

GB 30 Eagles 21
NO 28 SEA 16

Re: Predict the Score: Wildcard Weekend

Jets 27
Colts 24
- Colts injuries just too much to overcome,The Jets at New England rematch in Foxboro the following week is inevitable

Ravens 30
Chiefs 13
- The Cinderella slipper of the Chiefs gets a broken heel, its all over for the men in red

Eagles 17
Packers 16
- Vick is able to get his team over the Packers who almost everyone expects to win

Saints 23
Seahawks 6
- The first 7-9 team in the playoffs will not stay in the tournament for long

3 of 4 Road teams will win this weekend

Re: Predict the Score: Wildcard Weekend

Colts 28
Jets 17
- Manning will tear that overrated secondary apart.

Ravens 17
Chiefs 14
- I think the Chiefs will take it to the wire, but Baltimore's D will do what they need to.

Packers 33
Eagles 28
- Aaron Rodgers and Mike Vick will put on a show.

Saints 38
Seahawks 10
- Sorry, Seattle pretty much played their best game on Sunday against STL....that's sad.

Who I want to win
Seahwaks - Just because a team with a losing record in the playoffs is hilarious
Jets - I want to see both teams lose, but seeing the Jets next week will be entertaining
Chiefs - Since I want the Jets to win, I'd like to see Cassel do well
GB - Aaron Rodgers deserves more respect and he can earn on the big stage

Who I think will win
Saints - no brainer
Colts - Colts are on a tear right now, Jets are limping late in the season as always
Ravens - Cassel and the chiefs are new to the playoff. Ravens have a battle tested team
GB - I really think GB has the defense to be able to beat the Eagles and Vick is hurting

I think the Colts are over the whole injury thing. Through the season they were having a tough time adjusting to new players, but winning the last 4 games under playoff pressure means they've really risen to the occasion.

Who I Want To Win
Saints
Jets
Chiefs
Packers

Who I Think Will Win
Saints
Colts
Ravens
Packers

Pats/Jets inevitable?!? Really?!? The Jets have a decent chance of winning that game, but it ain't inevitable. Jay Cutler carved up the Jets' defense two weeks ago with the Bears scoring 5 offensive TDs. What will Manning do to that defense where the Colts have scored 30 or more points in five of the last six games? From some reason (based on your post in another thread), you think the Jets have a great defense. It ain't the case.

Well, here are my picks:

Want to win
Jets (I think the Pats just are built to pick apart that defense because they can work the center of the field and Cromartie and Revis aren't good at covering small, quick, and shifty WRs. I am torn though. I would love to see Rex have a goddamn snack of one and done, but the Jets are the best match up for the Pats in the divisional round)
Saints
Packers
Chiefs

Probably will Win
Colts - Turns into a shoot out and the Jets just can't keep up
Saints
Packers
Ravens

Want to Win:
Can't decide Jets or Colts (want Jets to lose, but fear Colts more as an opponent)
Chiefs
Saints
Green Bay

Who Will Win:
Colts
Ravens
Saints
Green Bay

Re: Predict the Score: Wildcard Weekend

Colts - Turns into a shoot out and the Jets just can't keep up

I see this as a low scoring game. The Jets D should be able to pressure Manning and he won't be able to put up points like he can normally. Their running game is nothing to shake a stick at. On the Jets side it's all about the run and possession. They won't be able to put up many points either.

Who I want to win

Saints
N/A
Chiefs
Packers

Who I think will win

Saints
Colts
Ravens (up until the Bowe thing, I thought KC would)
Packers

Who I want to win:

Saints
Packers
Chiefs
The Asteroid (or the Colts if you put a gun to my head)

Who I think will win:

Saints
Ravens
Colts
In the GB-PHI game everyone seems sold on the Pack, but I actually think the Eagles will pull it out in this one.

Who I want to win
Saints
Colts
Chiefs
Eagles

Who I think will win
Saints
Colts
Ravens
Packers

Who I want to win (or lose)
Chiefs to win / Ravens to lose - for obvious reasons regarding their players.

Packers to win. Rodgers is a likeable guy; so are Packer fans. I'd like to see Rodgers get at least one playoff win so people will stop bringing that up. On the other hand if the Eagles advance the media will focus on Vick; personally I'd prefer the media focus on someone/some team other than the Pats.

I like the Saints as a team and like their fans for the most part. On the other hand I would enjoy watching the reactions from having a team with a losing record advance. In addition if the Pats should make it that far, the Saints may be the toughest opponent for the Pats.

Colts, I guess. Really ambivalent on this one. Would prefer to not have to face Manning again, but can't fathom rooting for the Jets.

Who I think will win
Ravens
Eagles
Saints
Colts

I know many are going with Green Bay, but I think too many people are looking at the Eagles last game (loss to Vikings) and putting too much stock in what was a meaningless game that Philadelphia came out flat.

Chiefs--BB and TB get to show how superior they are to their students
Jets - Please God! Let BB go against the Jets for the AFCCG
Saints- Hate Pete Carrol
Packers - Want to see them in the SB

That's what I want and that's really how I think it will come out.

A little OT, but just wanted to say how great this weekend and next is--8 playoff games in 9 days. Best stretch of the year.

I guess next weekend is the best, because you sub out 4 first round losers for the top 4 seeds in the league.
