So I was looking at another thread asking which guys to keep on the front 7 for next year and I was surprised to see that Moore wasn't getting more love (I know bad pun).
His effort yesterday was something that couldn't go unnoticed. Although he only totaled 3 tackles (2 solo, 1 assist), he also forced a fumble and was pressuring the QB all day. So far his stats this year are: 4 games played, 9 solo tackles, 5 assists, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and a pass defensed. These are NFL career highs.
It looks to me as though he is getting a handle on this D pretty quickly and making plays. Something that not too many other guys lined up on the outside are doing. I think Moore is going to be a big factor for the Pats D in the playoffs by getting more pressure on the QB by taking some of the double teams off of Big Vince et al.
For others that are better at breaking down players and how they are performing do you agree with my limited football IQ assessment?
