Woodhead?

I know he left the game with a head injury, but has any news come of it since? Concussion I assume :bricks:?

I second that question, and also, for those who saw the play live or on tv, what happened? How bad did it look? Did he ever lose consciousness?

Re: Woodhead?

They just showed him laughing on the sideline. I'm sure it's precautionary.

He didn't look dazed, but he got hit in the head, he's out of the game. 2 weeks rest, so possibly playing safe with his health.

Defender met him mostly head on and got a little lower than him (a wonder). He was conscious the whole time and got up on his own and ran to the sideline. You could see him shaking his head slightly.

Got his bell rung a little but my guess is he's fine. They've been showing him on the sideline talking with the other players and he's still in his uniform.

Re: Woodhead?

He may have gotten his bell rung old school - ball drop almost seemed reflexive - but he appears fine on the sidelines, smiling and talking to Benny and Tom and so I think they just held him out as a precaution. Taylor and Morris can use the reps more than he can. I think Benny was just in for the 1000. If he was concussed it was mildly.

Re: Woodhead?

Thanks for all the info, guys. I was able to see the last 20 minutes of game clock on internet TV so yeah, I was relieved to see his demeanor on the sideline. Probably just being cautious, as y'all said.

Back in two weeks!

Re: Woodhead?

I think he would of been back in if the game had any meaning.

Re: Woodhead?

Said he was "fine" in the locker room after the game. No need to worry

Re: Woodhead?

If he wasn't fine, wouldn't the trainers have taken it a little more seriously? He just went to the bench and sat down for the rest of the game.

We never saw Connolly or Wright again after they went out with concussions. They were no where to be found on the sidelines. Woodhead would not have been allowed near the media either, if it was serious. Injured players go in the Patriots' witness protection program.

Re: Woodhead?

Danny "Gumby" Woodhead will be fine, BB just playing it careful with him. He's become very, very important......

Re: Woodhead?

So so so relieved to read these posts... hope it really is nothing. I wasn't able to watch any of the game, so all I had to go on was Reiss' reports which he labeled as "something to monitor", which gave no indication either way.

Re: Woodhead?

You fumble, you get benched! :)

Re: Woodhead?

Missed the GAME :(

Glad to hear he's alright. Any other injuries?

Re: Woodhead?

It was just a splinter.

Woody will probably have to pass those concussion tests...

Nobody said concussion with him. Said he was out with a head injury. He was up and grab-azzing all game with no trainers around him for most of the game . He was jawing with Brady 3-4 times on camera. No way he'd have done that if he was concussed.

Re: Woodhead?

His fumble came on a helmet to helmet contact.

Unfortunately he was administered the concussion test on the sideline and clearly did not pass. Can't remember where I saw or read about this.

EDIT: Rappaport clarifies:

Did not mention if he passed tests or not. Hopefully the decision to yank him is 100% cautionary.
