I thought Moore looked really good too...strip tackle and alot of pressures, probably should have had 1 or 2 sacks

The way Moore has played on passing downs has been sick given he's been here, what, 3 weeks?

If he has a good preseason and has the chemistry with Tom I think he may pass Tate

Maybe. But Tate has that kick return thing in his favor. That's the thing, just getting on the game-day 45 is tough for Price. Do you sit your two top receivers? Your top kick returner? Your top punt returner?

Jackson is 6'5 and 230 llbs.

Price is 6'0 and 205 lbs. They are nothing alike in terms of size.

The comparison of Price to Givens is much better.

Maybe he looked like a good comparison (without looking at physical stats) because our team is full of midgets. Price is a giant on our roster, haha.

also lol: @MikeReiss Vince Wilfork possibly the first NFL player in history to conduct post-game press conference in SpongeBob T-shirt.

Cohen has been another surprise. He played extremely well today..

i don't want to say EVERYONE was a surprise today, as we expect it from some, but man our 2nd and 3rd stringers looked good

One reason Patriots might do that is to get Hoyer acclimated to the idea that he could be called upon at any time. Keeps him on his toes.

Tom Brady talks about unique back and forth in 2nd quarter, with Brian Hoyer in for a few snaps before Brady returned. Was pre-planned.

Wow, this team really works on every detail

Hopefully we don't see a thread this offseason titled "The Taylor Price Disaster".

Check out some of the "Let's draft a WR " threads.. Pretty funny stuff.

The Pats played great today, but personally I don't care. The Dolphins are a team just wanting the season to be over. It was impressive win, but I still take the results with a bit of grain of salt. Granted the Pats have had a few of these games in recent months so it isn't just a complete abnormality.

I didn't get to see the game, just tracked it on NFL.com

How did Fred Taylor look? Do you think they might try to use him in the playoffs? Obviously BJGE and Woodhead are getting it done out there, but if Taylor is healthy and still has his "stuff", he'd be a great weapon to add and the extra depth is never a bad thing.

Reiss' latest tweet made me laugh. Wish I could see a pic of it:

Re: ** The OFFICIAL Pats/Dolphins Postgame thread

The illegal hit to the head call on Wilfork was total BS..

As was the PI call on Butler.. Marshall was STOPPED and so was Butler.. Just because his hands were out doesn't mean he interferred with Marshall..

Other notes.. Ohrnberger played well at the RG position. So did Wendell.

I don't see the Pats bringing Page back.

Taylor Price played extremely well. In fact, on the plays that weren't run calls when he was on the field (which were at least 3) he got open every time.

Tate continues to recover from his knee issue.. He's clearly a longstrider. But he can get open.. As he proved today on the deep TD Catch.

That was the call on Wilfork?! I was at a bar watching the game so I didn't get any sound, but the sack looked textbook to me. What a terrible call.

Excellent game by the starters and the subs!

Taylor looked better than he has since working back. I think having him as DEPTH is key. The extra motivation of a playoff push will give him some game if we need it.

Moore has provided excellent pressure, and I didn't see alot of Cunningham with him returning and starting this week. They must like what they've been seeing.
The UFL

Deadrick
Woodhead
Guyton
etc etc
this team is good at picking up hidden treasures

I love the fact that we won this game 38-7 without Welker, Branch and Hernandez. We are gonna be on fire in that divisional games with our offense back in full force!

Not to mention playing without Woodhead for most of the game. Neither BJGE nor Taylor were productive out of what would have been Woodhead's snaps...

Well, the idiot ref called the penalty on #95 (TBC), but he wasn't dressed. And though Moore was in on that play, he wasn't a part of the tackle.. So, clearly the call had to be on Wilfork. And yes, it WAS a textbook play. The only time their helmets hit was AFTER the initial hit when they were on the way down to the ground.. There was no contact to the head otherwise.

Our run D just cost Ronnie Brown $500K too.

Ronnie Brown misses out on $500,000 bonus by 16 yards | National Football Post
Miami Dolphins soon-to-be free agent running back Ronnie Brown entered Sunday’s Week 17 matchup with the New England Patriots needing just 30 rushing yards to earn a $500,000 incentive, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Brown’s contract called for the bonus if the veteran running back could amass 750 yards on the ground this season.

Rushing for 30+ yards was a feat Brown had accomplished in 11 games this season and 32 times in his last 39 outings. But after receiving just six carries for a total of 14 yards Sunday afternoon, Brown fell 16 yards shy of cashing a check worth half a million dollars.

That has to suck. Brown also got his 6 carries in the first half, none in the second, almost as if the Dolphins figured they might as well save some cash this season.

HUH?? While BJGE didn't rack up any 19 YAC runs, he did enough to get 1st downs on all but 1 play.. And I believe that was the 4th and 12 or 14 or whatever it was late in the game and the 2nd string linemen were in.

The helmets didnt really hit, it was more they "touched", ridiculous, maybe they review it and dont fine him.
