Rapaport: Pryor to return, Brace to go on IR when Spikes returns

Losing Brace isn't a death blow, but his loss doesn't exactly improve the run defense. With Spikes returning and others getting healthy on the d-line, it should be functional enough in the playoffs to be competitive.

He'd been playing well too. Tough brake for the kid. He had come a LONG way.

Wow, lame. Looks like there's a chance we'll without Brace AND Wright for the rest of the year.

Hopefully Pryor is ready to play.

Still surprised that they have not given up on Wright... hope???

I was thinking this as well, wouldn't logic dictate that if Wright isn't able to come back he would of been placed on IR already?

I was thinking the same thing as you and darryl, i thought wright would go to IR since hes been out so long. This may mean they think hes could make it back.

Or it just means Brace has a severe elbow injury and is going on IR. Doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Wright.

It's funny to me how Brace went from bust in my mind, to a big loss when he his IR'd. We're gonna need all of the help we can get for this DL.

Brace missed one game to a concussion and returned against Buffalo. He injured his elbow in that game?

I just want to be definitive about my thoughts on this, maybe yes, maybe no. :bricks:

Exactly my frame of mind when hearing the news.

Duct tape and baling wire.

Sucks to lose Brace now. but the Pats will continue on as they always have. At least we will get Spikes and Pryor back.

If Brace Is out then Mike Wright is probably Back.

Heaven knows the DL needs the bye week. Please let them stay healthy against Miami!

To me this is very bad news, as Brace was playing like a legitimate run stopper at end, and was making some big plays in short yardage situations. I fear we do not have anyone who can fill his shoes. Here's hoping a combination of the new guys and the D linemen coming off of the DL can step in and make up for this loss.

Perhaps someone could start an official I aggressively insisted that Brace was a bust, and now I want to apologize thread.

Too many of those for other players, it's beating a dead horse. Some people get too opinionated while having next to no game film of a player and think they know more than coaches.
