The Unexpected Happened For Bears, Chiefs and Patriots | Football Sky Portal

I know I haven't had my coffee yet, but I am completely befuddled and bemused.

Some of the incorrect terms and phrases were hilarious.

"In this way Hernandez and Gronkowski became the key aspect of every issue regarding the offense like jog jamming, pass defense and road management. "

"Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and most of the new strategies did not work during the last season of the game. "

"As far as defense is concerned, there is no second thought about the Achilles strategy for defense mechanism. "

"Then, players like Martz and Jay Cutler turned the game when they were permitted to play the match forcefully."

I think the writer was trying to be funny by being very English but failed horribly, it made no sense at all.

Lol, it's like they went onto Patriots.com, found the most-frequently used words, and threw them together, with no attempt to use subjects as subjects, verbs as verbs, etc.

It actually strongly resembles English written by non-English-speakers. It shows up on other articles on the site, though not to such a great degree.

Wonder who the editors are . . .

I think they plagarized an American source and filtered it through one of those online translators from American-English to British-English.

I thought it was Indian English at first, but while Indian English phrases things in (to us) very unusual ways ("We will do the needful") this article just has huge mistakes in both grammar and content. My favorite line: "Regrettably, Danny Woodhead and rookie somehow tried to extend the games but Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski did not let that happen."

The grammar is bad. While slang terms and spelling may vary between the countries, the grammar rules are consistent. The article is just poorly written by any standard, wherever it may be written. It is a blog, so that likely comes as no surprise.

Usually, but there are exceptions even to that (though not to the degree found in the article). Collective nouns are the only grammar difference I can think of off the top of my head, we treat them as a singular noun while British English treats them as a plural noun (we would the "The team is doing well", they would say "The team are doing well.")

I think what they meant to say was "All your base are belong to us."

I really don't think this has anything to do with English/American translation.

Its written in a grammatically poor pigeon english - I have no idea what this website is supposed to be, its just plain horrible.

Its not just the odd hinky phrase - the whole of the website is terrible.

Saints-Falcons correspond with each other on Monday night. Most of the spectators were enjoyed the matched fully. If we pay no attention to the NFC final tournament where in the beginning, strength of the teams was implemented and then these teams will be opposite to each other in the third session. In this way, we can predict about the winner of Super Bowl XLV. People are expecting that the game will be played at the same place where most of the spectators have witnessed the square off took place yesterday. The place was Georgia Dome, which is in Atlanta.

Soccer 'commentary;

Emirates Stadium, London – A thrilling match between Arsenal and Chelsea brought joy to the Arsenal fans when the Gunners ended the match 3-1.

Overall, the game seemed like a seesaw as both team claim control over the ball making some attempts to startle the each other.

On the 6th minute, it would have been a beautiful opportunity for Alex Song if Robin Van Persie hasn’t intervened with the attempt. Arsenal’s intention of being aggressive in the first half was apparent when several hard-pressing attacks opened some opportunities for goals. However, Chelsea’s defensive power was just so firm that they could easily defy goals from the other team.

I suspect this was run through the Google translater and then posted without being proofread.

This is clearly the result of a million monkeys, typing on a million typewriters for a million years.

And even that's not enough to explain how much the JEST suck. :D

That's it, basically.

Mr. McConville and Mr. Johnson evidently took off for "holiday" this week and thought they were being clever by plagiarizing a foreign language correspondent's article through the Google translation app. In this way, they stupidly thought they would never be caught since the original article was in a different language.

Too bad the online translation apps stink - -for now they are caught red-handed.

Pretty funny!

I ran this post through Google translator to see if we can restore the effect. I am Latvian English to Hindi Kiswahili Wales (Wales, our posters) are going back to English. This post is the result.

That's about the right tone for the article. By the way, I ran it through from Latvian to Hindi to Swahili to Welsh and then back to English. It's not all that clear from the post. The original:

"I ran this post through the Google translator to see if I could recreate the effect. I went from English to Latvian to Hindi to Swahili to Welsh (for our Welsh poster) and then back to English. This post is the result."

And as a result, someone clearly set up us the bomb of a translation.

I think I'm going to edit the title of this thread, in deference to hardworking journalists everywhere. That there ain't no "paper," it's a grade-z website.

I do like "jog jamming," though. It deserves to mean something.
