New England Patriots stuck in Rochester due to blizzard: RAW Video & Photos - NewsChannel 9 WSYR

Those fellas deserve a good quality couple of days with their families right about now (they touched down in Providence just before 3pm today).

It couldn't have been what they wanted to do last night after having missed pretty much all of Christmas.

They look like Napolean's army disconsolately trudging back from Waterloo. Check out the dour Belichick with the celebratory Division Chapions hat - - now that's a contrasting image!

I didn't expect BB to be wearing one of the division champs hats. He must be really proud of this team for that one.

The New England Patriots are stuck in Rochester, after Sunday’s winter storm kept them from getting home.

The Patriots topped the Bills 34-3 in Buffalo, but weren’t able to travel home after the game.

One viewer told our sister station WHAM-TV in Rochester that Tom Brady was seen in that city’s Dinosaur Bar-B-Que on Sunday night.

Pats visit to the restaurant was apparently a big deal for the Dino BBQ and locals there.

He probably decided that the weather warranted a hat, and that was the closest one to him. Belichick doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who puts a whole lot of thought into his wardrobe.

Not so sure. That coat is spiffy.

Who's the guy wearing pajama pants??

That just strikes me funny, some huge guy wearing those.

I'd like to see how messy they got after eating that stuff. Rochester has great bar-b-que and wings but boy is it messy, based on 4 years of college up there. Dinosaur hadn't opened yet when I was therebut it gets great reviews......
I'm sure the O-line would have preferred a 'garbage plate' from Nick Tahou's....Maybe next time they get stranded up there...

Nick Tahou Hots - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

>>>>A Garbage Plate is a combination of one selection of cheeseburger, hamburger, red hots, white hots, Italian sausage, chicken tender, fish (haddock), fried ham, grilled cheese, or eggs; and two sides of either home fries, French fries, baked beans, or macaroni salad. On top of that are the options of mustard and onions, ketchup, and Nick's proprietary hot sauce, a greasy sauce with spices and ground beef. It's served with rolls or Italian toast on the side,[3] fresh from the bakery next door.[2] Health.com named the Garbage Plate the fattiest food in the state of New York.[4]<<<<

I think the hat was a concession to the history that this generation of players are creating - seems logical after they threw out all the old early decade Superbowl stuff.

Belichick just convinced me to purchase a division champions hat.

I predicted they'd be eating at Dinosaur. Like who couldn't predict that?

This was a good team-building thing, Dinosaur is incredibly good BBQ that rivals anything down south, so I'm sure the team felt right at home.

Alge apparently treated the whole team.

That hotel doesn't look like it's one of Rochester's finest, looks like a Courtyard or something.

I agree about the whole team building thing - - that could very well become a legendary night that the young team may remember an awfully longtime - - really a silver lining to the dark cloud of having to miss the families another day.

Re: the last line, I read that it was the "Hyatt Downtown" - - but I'm with you - - that looked like "downtown Billerica".

Surprised that it was the Hyatt downtown.

That's the best big hotel in the city. They have upscale small hotels, but the Hyatt is the best and it's right in the heart near Dinosaur. It's on Main Street!

If I had to guess, they came in through a back parking lot, because I can absolutely tell you that Main Street does not look anything like that.

EDIT: Just looked at Google Map, it's the backside of the hotel.

Yup, you speak the truth, Upstater!

They must have come in through the back of that hotel - - look at the pics on the link of the buses in the front - - definitely looks more major league.

***Also hit the video on the right side of the page of them loading onto the bus this morning.

Finding a hotel with ~50 available rooms at the last minute doesn't leave you with a lot of options.

Even more funny is the blazer he apparently think goes with it.
