I remember Kraft mentioned in his interview about a stomach flu bug going around in the locker room. That would explain the IVs I guess. They really toughed it out today.

Respects :)

So glad we clinched the bye week. This team is beat up. They can still play, there's no doubt about that, but the healthier they get, the better off they'll be. They need this bye.

I did not realize how bad the virus spread through the locker-room. It is truly a testament to the team's mental toughness and preparation that they went out and did what they did Sunday afternoon. :rocker:

better now than in the playoffs, hopefully there all immune now

Wilfork, Stomach Flu.. yuk...

Mental toughness is a hallmark of this team.

The bye is huge on so many levels. The Pats will get another week to prepare and rest but also host a team that had to play a tough playoff game the week before.

Very true, but when you compare other Super Bowl years, and the players lost to injury, we have made out quite well this year. Pretty much the opposite of what I expected after losing Bodden and Ty Warren before the season started. They have not been untouched (See our kicker and right guard), but not bad really.

One of the things I wanted to watch for early on was how Wendell did in his first start. But after I noticed Cohen AND Moore were both starting on the defensive side, I totally forgot about Wendell.

I guess he did pretty good since we ran for a ton of yards and I don't remember much pressure coming from the right side when Brady was passing. But it's shocking that our DL started a UFL guy signed a few weeks ago and a guy signed last week, and they played a lot of snaps.

But it's that kind of season for us. And for the most part, they've played really well when given the chance. Moore has been involved in a bunch of big plays already, recovering a fumble yesterday.

The bye week will be nice.

I can't get over how incredible this is. That DL is amazing.

Were there any new injuries yesterday?

This is an incredible story really, with Love, Cohen and Moore playing so much, and the last two weeks being a patchwork D.

As good as Brady has been, and he has been unbelievable, I have to say that Wilfork and Mayo are the heroes of this season.

Wilfork and Mayo? Not the guy who's having one of the greatest seasons ever for his position and leads the highest scoring offense in the NFL? Seriously?

You can put Kyle Love and Gary Guyton in place of Wilfork and Mayo and we win around 10 games. You put someone else in place of Brady and we win maybe 5.

Matt Cassel says Hi!

and NFW we win 10 games w/o Mayo & Wilfie

.

This team's best line is Wilfork, G. Warren, Brace, Pryor, Wright, and mid-season Deaderick/Love on the line.

Moore is active but undersized. Cohen was ok but BUF ran up the gut too many times on the opening drive for my liking.

Yeah, because this team is every bit as good as the 2008 team was, not to mention we had the easiest schedule in the NFL in that season.

And you're also suggesting Wilfork and Mayo are more important to the team than Tom Brady is, which is simply untrue.

For the Pats I don't believe we had any injuries.
Thanks. I didn't see any on TV but they don't always catch everything that happens on the field. If this team can get healthy for the playoffs and stay healthy through the playoffs I think we'll go far.

Can anybody remember the last time a player, like Cohen, was signed and actually played in the game the same week?

Gotta love the mental toughness of this team.
