just saw on espn where his career may be over. i remember a LOT of people who were unhappy the pats didn"t draft him when he was on the board. i know injuries can't be foreseen, but how lucky and grateful our we now the pats passed on him.just shows the draft can be a crapshoot, and you really can't tell how succesful (or not) a draft is for years someetimes.:singing:

WOW!! Thank Belichick for McCourty, but I did side with Kindle coming to us. Glad i was so wrong!

A fractured skull can't be predicted, but bad knees, uncontrolled drinking problems, and not even being a good pass rusher can be...

Extraordinary how that works. :D

Almost like they knew what they were doing!

Arrested for DUI today.

Well Done BB.

Not to mention narcolepsy...I just stumbled on an old post where I wrote this about Kindle...before he was drafted:

"Seriously, I feel for the kid -- that's a lot of challenges to deal with at a young age, and the possibility of losing out on a football career that seemed so full of promise is a real shame."

I feel bad for this kid but glad we steered away from him.

This could be a chicken-and-egg type situation, as we saw with Danny Baugher back in 2007 (he was cut, and then arrested later that night for drunk-and-disorderly). It's not at all clear that this would have happened if he had still been an active member of a football team.

As a reminder of what his little accident cost him:

Rob Gronkowski (#42): Four-year deal, $1.76M signing bonus, $320K salary for 2010, $830K bonus next year, base salaries in 2011-2013.

Sergio Kindle (#43): One-year deal, $320K salary, no signing bonus, becomes an ERFA next spring, subject to minimum tenders by Ravens for at least next two years

Sergio Kindle may have to wait another year for the NFL - News 8

Here's the article I found

If the ravens don't resign him, i wouldn't mind seeing him signed to the practice squad.. Maybe he just needs to setup in a structured environment and maybe we can provide. We do take chances on players.... Merriweather and Hernandez

His problem is that he has no knee(s) left and has narcolepsy. Those are a lot bigger problems than getting into a fight during a game and smoking pot once or twice a few years ago.

Changing my mind on this guy! DUI says it all!

That is pretty graphic, might think about drinking a few myself...

Weren't the Ravens very interested in Gronkowski, and we manage to beat them to Gronk??

Rhetorical question, If we miss out on Gronk, what other player would have the same impact?

I feel badly regarding Kindle's unfortunate turn of events, but that somewhat dissipates when the guy shows the poor judgment in leading to his DUI.
