It seems the bears need to win out to guarantee they
get a playoff bye week. Eagles can get the bye if the Bears
lose one of the next two.

The Jets may not make the playoffs if they lose the next two games.
I still can't believe the Steelers lost.
I would love it if the big mouths Jets were cleaning out their
lockers after their last game.

iam sure the people here who were rooting for the jets last week for some reason disagree. i dont think chicago can beat the jets either. Their oline will be challenged by the jets blitzes. i wouldnt be surprised by a multi int game by cutler

I am not saying they will beat the Jests but they need to if
they want to get the Playoff bye week.
I hear Jets' WR Holmes is injured so maybe it will be a low scoring
game.

In the immortal words of Lady Godiva....

GO BARES!!!!!!!

Actually, I'm praying those clowns "make" the playoffs. And, they win a game!! I want their season to end in Foxboro. Remember, if the Jets don't make it. SD will get in. The Chargers will be the 6th seed. Beat the Chiefs and be coming to Foxboro. We can beat em. But, you have to admit they are a tougher matchup for us.

Yeah, Cutler certainly isn't clutch. He's an INT machine.

I would like to beat them in the playoffs also but I think the
most humiliating thing for the Jets and their fans would be
to NOT make the playoffs after all their boasts.

These two teams are mirror images of each other.

It's impossible for them to be the 6th seed, they can only win the AFC West.

Also here is the only way the Jets miss the playoffs...

Jets go 0-2
Chargers go 2-0 (Win AFC West #3 Seed)
Colts go 2-0 (Win AFC South #4 seed)
Jags go 2-0 (Wild Card #6)
Chiefs go 1-1 (Miss playoffs)

I can actually see the Chargers, Colts and Chiefs scenarios working out. Don't see the Jets losing out or the Jags winning out, though.

Would of been so much more realistic if the Steelers beat them.

If the Jets finish 10-6 they tie the Chargers. Same conf. record. Didn't play head to head. I have them same record common opponents. Denver 4-1 beat Denver 2x, Houston and Cincy. Lost to NE. Jets 4-1. Split with NE, beat Denver, Houston and Cincy. Would go to strength of victory.

Jags can beat the 'Skins and Texans. Both teams are planning their vacations at this point.

I agree though, I don't see the Jets losing vs BUF.

I'm definitely rooting for the Bears this week even though I rooted for the Jets last week. I expect Chicago to win.

Though it's unlikely, the Bears could conceivably clinch a bye this week; that would happen if they win, the Eagles lose, and the Giants lose. If Chicago and Philadelphia finish with the same record the Bears get the higher seed because they just beat the Eagles a few weeks ago. Just because they have clinched the NFCN they still have a lot to play for.

While the Steelers loss last week improved the chances of the Pats getting the #1 seed, it also improved the Jets chances of making the playoffs quite a bit. The Jets clinch a playoff spot this weekend with a win, or with a loss by the Jaguars, or with a loss by the Colts.

Jesters in the playoff probably isn't a bad thing. I do not fear them in Foxboro.

I don't like to spend a lot of time thinking about various playoff possibilities.

Beat either the Bills or the Dolphins/ or both and lock up home field thru-out.

Then beat the snot out of whoever shows up.......
