Did anybody notice how much Butler played Sunday night?

I thought I saw him multiple times as the third CB in the first half and much less in the second half, but I was paying more attention to who was on the field in the first half.

I did notice a safety playing the in the nickel spot a few times, and mostly in the second half. (notably Chung a few times)

Did Butler play more in the second half than I noticed? and If he didn't, did anybody see a reason as to why he played less?

Hmm. So among our problem-child high-pick DBs, Meriweather is getting the snaps right now over Butler.

Six snaps our Coaching Staff is really showing alot of confidence in Butler.:scared::D

An incredible amount of snaps for the fatties- 53, 59 and 75. WOW.

All I know for sure is that he at least did not fail at all 6 of those snaps.

When J. Jones scored that long TD I didnt really see who got burned but was literally crossing my fingers that it wasnt 28. Turns out it was McCourty (thank god cause Butler cant afford to get burned, Devin can) and on the replay they showed Butler was blanketing the slot WR. And I mean BLANKETING.

Maybe they wanted a safety in because they were short DL and spikes? Just a thought. I don't think BB game plans based on not liking the guy this week.

New DL Leonard couldn't pick up enough to at least take up space this week?

Man, I do NOT like Big Vince taking 75 snaps in a game. If anyone gets a break during next week's Miami game, it should be him. We need him fresh for the playoffs to lead the D.

While Butler only played 6 snaps on defense, on the punt that was muffed early in the game, I believe he's the only player who used his head and jumped on the lose ball..

While he's definitely taken a step back from last year, he's still better than Wheatley (who Jacksonville just put on IR)..

yes, when i saw chung in at the slot i was thinking BB had riverted to his old ways, since lately butler has been slot and played much better

but then realizing how poor our run support was, it made a little more sense

oww, the guy was only just activated in by the jaguars....wish him the best but the guy just cannot stay away from injuries

all the injuries on the dl and deaderick only played like 9 snaps. Not good.

I wonder why they were able to run at will on us sometimes.

Thought Collinsworth said that Deaderick was hurt?

Who said Butler was a problem-child?

He played over 40 snaps last week.

Come on people, you know Belichick schemes things differently.

No DL depth and a young QB on the other side, you don't think it's smart to load up with safeties? Who was going to tackle Kuhn? Butler?

So you're saying they lost confidence in him after playing him 40+ snaps last week. Because why?

Some people on this thread clearly have an agenda.

When you're 12-2...
And there ain't much else to do...
