Just when I get all hyped up about watching a new QB make his first start in prime time during crazy weather, favre has to come along last minute and get the start. is there anything this guy won't do for attention?

btw why has the nfl not come to a decision on the brett favre punishment over the last few months but were able to come to a full decision about spygate in only a few days? is the league protecting favre?

So he was listed as out yesterday and starting today. Hmmm. (I posted about this on another thread earlier; apparently not against the rules, but still dubious.)

YESSSSSSSS! Now we have a football game folks. Get your popcorn ready. Even if Favre sticks it up it will be hilarious to watch.

i hope he does stink it up. i hope he is so bad that he gets pulled in the first half

also peterson is out tonight

Yet another young QB career cocblocked by the king douchebag. I think Favre just wanted to miss the Giants game, because they were ready to obliterate him. Unfortunately, TJ bit it instead.

This is good news for teams vying for playoff position. Favre gives the Vikings a better chance at playing the spoiler.

yep. and it being monday night he can go out on national tv.

I am Favre out.ESPN is worse for kissing his fanny!

Peterson being out could kill me in fantasy. I'm up by around 9 points. I had Peterson going today and my opponent has Ryan Longwell. He averages 8 points a game. Ughh, I can feel it slipping away... Damn Vikings!

I Hope Farve gets racked up, he was told there could risk further injury by playing but obviously ignored the DR. Also it makes a travesty of the injury report, he was listed as Out up until today. If a team can do that (basically hid a player until game day) why have an injury report?

It's funny, but tonight a few of their own on-air people are making fun of not only Favre for being a drama queen, but also espn and the media in general for the way they are following the story.

I'm sure they'll be scolded by their bosses tomorrow morning.

"favre is like 22 yrs old again from kiln Mississippi" -Gruden. The favre fellating has begun

Guess this is MNF thread. Curious to see how draft binky Gerhart does in a starter role with Peterson out. He seems slow but doing good.

Cutler is going into 'spray and pray' mode with his arm again. LOL @ the Bears meltdown. Old Man Favre looks like he's going to have a huge game against the 'Bad News Bears.' Priceless.

This isn't going to be as enjoyable as the Giants meltdown, or the Steelers stubbing their toe when they had no right to but it looks like it's gonna be a fun watch. Pats can lock up the #1 seed next week with a win over Buffalo.

It's definitely looking that way. Though, if the Bears lose tonight, they're going to have a lot of emotion going into next week. They did beat the Eagles at home, so we'll have to see...and hope I guess.

if bears win tonite what do they have to play for next week ?
