Buffalo, despite all their injuries, has been in most games this season. With Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller back there, they have a very dynamic duo. Steve Johnson has, not so quietly, become a real receiving threat for the Bills. And the Bills defense has been pretty stingy against opponents like Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

It's going to be very interesting how the Pats play. Hopefully, they'll get Brace or Wright back to help shore up the run defense.

Hopefully, the Pats can keep Chris Kelsay contained and Brady upright.

I don't really mean this to disparage you DaBruinz, but I'm a little tired of every game where the Patriots are favored being called a "Trap" game.

That said, I don't think you can overlook buffalo and I'm sure after last night BB will not let them.

When did a divisional rival become a "trap game"? No matter what the position or record the Jets, Dolphins and Bills are never trap games.

Trap game ....not after the packers game, plus this win would give them a first round bye.

No way is this going to be a trap game. Bills won the game against Miami yesterday, and our efforts were bad enough. BB has a great excuse to give the players a dressing down this morning.

Also BB is going to remind the players that if they win at Buffalo, they are AFC champs. As Bruschi used to say, it's "T-shirts and hats time!"

You think they won't get up for that?

I knew that this thread would appear just as the sun rises in the west. That said given the urine poor performance of the Pats coaching staff in preparation for last night's game and the Deion Sanders imitation tackling of runners and flat pass receivers by our LBs, I say the Pats will be well prepared and motivated to play a tough Bills opponent Sunday.

We play them twice a year and seemingly ALWAYS struggle to win, so no way in hell is this a trap game.

By trap game, I take that to mean an opponent the the TEAM (not some fans) will underestimate. Buffalo lost to Chicago by only 3, lost to Baltimore, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh all in overtime, and lost to us by only 8. Everybody with any sense knows that they are not a bottom-of-the-league team, especially the Patriots players and coaches.

How can a familiar opponent you know to be good who always plays you tough be a trap game? It can't. That doesn't mean we can't lose- we can. It means we won't lose because of overconfidence. No way.

<fill in the blank> = trap game is regular weekly thread, just like my who to root for thread.

I can't wait for DaBruinz to explain to us why the divisional week playoff game is a trap game.

I thought they just played a trap game.

Is it legal to have two trap games in a row?

What if Miami is also a trap game?

That would be 3 traps in a row which I believe is duck hunt.

I would be embarrassed to start a trap game thread ...

Yet every week ... there it is ... another freaking trap game thread.

Epic Annoyance.

I think the definition of a Trap Game is that you are looking ahead to what you think will be a tough game and aren't ready, either physically or mentally, for the preceding game that you think will be easier.

I don't think of the Buffalo game, before the Miami game, as a "trap" game in that sense, or any sense.

Also, I don't think that last night's game was a trap game because I think that the Offense actually played well against a stingy defense and that the Defense felt the impact of multiple injuries on the line.

This is NOT a trap game. Buffalo has been 4-2 in their last 6 games.

Going up there with so much at stake, knowing that this Bills team is not the same team that went 0-8, cannot be a trap game.

Listening to BB this afternoon, he certainly is not underestimating this Bills team.

Dude, the Patriots almost just lost to the Packers. Buffalo has been playing VERY well as of late, and the Bills almost beat us once this year.

Buffalo may very well win - Jackson may destroy us, Fitzgerald may pick us apart, those whipping late December winds may completely take us out of our offense - but we WON'T lose because we somehow took them too lightly.

Trap game? No way, too much at stake.

The Patriots can clinch the AFCE, a bye and home field advantage with a win. How could that be a trap game? What exactly are they looking ahead to next week to distract them?

Thread = Fail

This thread is missing something.....

The one thing I can say without a doubt is I have the most confidence in Fitzpatrick as I have had in any Bills QB since Bledsoe. It's not saying much considering our crappy QBs of late but Fitz just plays with such a swagger. Our coach says he practices and studies like he's from Harvard and plays like he is from Ohio State.

Our record sucks but this has been the most enjoyable team I have watched in 5 years. Young players are stepping up and the team has been improving. There were doubts about Gailey but he is one of the best offensive coaches in the game.

In short, this is our Super Bowl. I have far more hatred for the Jets and their annoyings fans but 16 games is a little much to lose to one team.

Since you guys are probably going to another SB, why not just throw the Bills a bone? :)
