Official Packers-Pats POSTGAME thread

Quite a win in context. Packers were extremely motivated by all the Pats hype and hearing that they have no chance with Flynn. Patriots, meanwhile, are wrapping up a long stretch of very tough opponents, and a letdown was kind of inevitable. Plus all the injuries others have mentioned.

Ed Hoculi - As I said in the game thread, the absolute worst game I've ever seen him call. There is no way that ALL the personal fouls were on the Pats. Not to mention that the last one against TBC shouldn't have been called or if it was, a call on Bulaga should have followed, since Bulaga had TBC's facemask. The call on McCourty was BS. McCourty didn't launch himself. The Defender wasn't defenseless. McCourty hit shoulder and forearm to the chest with the helmet being incidental contact.

FWIW, his crew was horrible, but I don't think any of this has to do with Hochuli. I don't think he had a call all night, did he? He calls plays on the passer. The line is the U, LJ, and sometimes back judge. Hochuli was 50 yards away from the helmet to helmet and just listened to his crew. It wasn't his flag on any of the line penalties.

This team has a lot to improve on in the coming week. Of course, we won. That's the one thing to keep in mind. But we came out flat on both sides of the ball in this game. BB needs to use this game as a coaching tool to teach the team that it doesn't matter who is playing in this league, you need to play to win. You can't just show up and expect to win the game.

ALL i HAVE TO SAY IS A WIN IS A WIN

Hey everyone, Packer fan here.

Great game, Brady is an assassin out there.

I'm kinda numb, don't really know what to think, but I wanted to check in and give you guys dap on the win. I felt we were going at 110% effort, and you guys were just going thru the motions. I was shocked you guys didn't blow us out in the 2nd half.

Your TEs and that kid McCourty are ballers. Wilfork is still going hard after these last few years.

Flynn surprised the hell outta me, but Coach M in late game situations once again manages to confuse me. Ugh.

I'm proud of my boys tonight, very proud.

Once 2011 rolls around and we get 13 guys (LOL) off of IR, we may see you in February. Who knows. Until then, y'all keep it going.

hopefully bb will use this to drive it home that the bills are going to be a tough out. all i care now is the first round bye....that should help heal a lot of wounded....next week is critical so we dont leave it till the end

For those of you so happy with a win, that is not how Belichick sees it. I agree with Belichick. In the end, it didn't matter much whether we won or not. However, we looked pretty bad on defense. With regard to the offense, Brady could have been intercepted 2 or 3 times, not a a good game for him.

Y'all keep it going here down the stretch now.

They looked great. very impressive and I am happy and suprised at the win.

This W was great and in a way to win a close one like this will have the Team more determined to play better next week v the Bills. Coudnt watch the game, but Gamecenter was lousy ! looked like wind was a factor going one way. Am i right ? Again great win. Off to bed, 8am here. Peace.

you guys have a legit defense and your offensive playcalling was also very good. couple of places they couldve been better which made the difference esp the 3rd to last drive where they chose to pass on 1st down instead of running the ball..that really turned the game for the pats leading to the brady TD drive.
i actually like MM . he is like andy reid and can develop QBs. Good luck the rst of the way.

Great win.

Guyton looked bad, and Meriweather just go please.

I have never, ever seen a worse angle to get to the ball. I loved the pick by him, would have loved it more it it counted.

Of course, Belichick is right. We definitely have to play better than this. And you better believe that he's going to drill this into the team's head this week in practice. However, you better believe that he's still happy with the win too.

Only reason we escaped with a W was because both McCarthy and Flynn completely choked the last 30 seconds. McCarthy didn't have a play called in and Flynn couldn't improvise an audible.

Right? Yes it was ugly but all great teams have a bad game here or there but they still find a way to win. And we did. Its Belichick's duty as such a great HC to not accept anything less than what he expects out of his team.

the NFL is a joke, no way McCourty should have been flagged for that hit. He led with his shoulder pads.
