Back in 1991 Bernie Kosar set the record for consecutive pass attempts without an intercept at 308.

Right now I believe Brady is at 268 attempts without an INT and 40 attempts away from the tying the record. (Feel free to double check that) His last pick was on a Hail Mary pass at the end of the 1st half of the Baltimore game.

Obviously last week against the Bears there was a couple close calls (one that definitely should have been picked) but Brady has been playing lights out right now and I honestly think he can break the record. On the other hand he is going against this very talented Packers secondary...

Discuss.

The first rule of fight club, is to not talk about fight club.

<---- Shocked that Bernie Kosar holds this record.

Thanks for jinxing him....:bricks:

correction: His last pick was on a Hail Mary pass at the end of the 4th quarter of the Baltimore game (end of regulation; won in OT)

At first, I was too.

Then I realized most of Bernie Kosar's passes were so poor most receivers never had a chance at them, let alone DBs :p

The bad Hail Mary luck is trumped by the good Bears-drops luck. The streak is what it is.

Really? Bernie Kosar was at least serviceable for the whole of his career, and was actually a pretty good QB at his peak. He wasn't some stiff that lucked into that record.

OT: Kosar's name came up at a party the other night. Guess he's flat out broke, wife has left him, and he's missing the cartridge between his nostrils. Shame.

It's possible that he does....also possible that he doesn't. Not sure which will happen. Kind of a crap shoot. I'd guess not though.

Damn, it sucks when you are missing the cartridge between your nostrils. One time in college I tore the cartridge in my knee.

It was just a joke. Apparently a bad one, but just a joke.

Ah thanks for the correction. I guess I was hoping it was the end of the 1st half so I could fantasize that there could have been more INT-less attempts if not for that Hail Mary...

I remember it from when I was a kid. If I recall they made a pretty big deal of it at the time. I still remember them doing the in game update of when he broke the record (or maybe it was when he finally threw a pick?). Want to say it was versus the Dolphins?

The point is the record is bogus. Usually when a mid tier player holds a record, it's an indication that the streak or stat is somewhat inconsequential.

Its kind if a crap shoot - this poster hit the nail right on the head.

It's like when joe Morgan wants to make every regular baseball player a demigod. His stat people will find something like this is the only guy to hit 275, have 40 steals, play three different positions during the season, have a pinch hit home run and hit into less than 4 double plays.

Probably a bad analogy but u guys get it. The fact the record started on after a hail Mary and should have happened last week is justification for my point alone.

Brady is the best but he'll throw a pick and it wont be his fault and the record will end. Or he'll throw one right to the defense, they'll drop it, and he'll set the record. So what can you tell from either outcome? Not much.

Brady bangs Giselle, Bernie pleasures himself. Brady has 3 rings, Bernie has a gold necklace...No contest. Advantage Brady. I don't care if Bernie had 308 attempts without an INT. Brady dumps Bernie Kosars...

Kosar's career interception percentage is lower than Peyton Manning's. His getting the longest streak is not "bogus". It's a product of a man who was careful with the football.
