Is it possible for the Jets AND Steelers to miss the playoffs? :lol2:

Wow. It is a completely different defense without him as we saw last year.

They better hope he's back for the playoffs at least

Could be nice to face either instead of Indy or SD.

I don't get it, or maybe I missed it, when did Polamalu hurt the achilles?

I read somewhere that it was actually in the Patriots game. I'll dig through my history and find a link.

Mods please move this anti-Patriots comment to the Patriots criticism thread :)

Too bad, love his game.. he and Sanders(Indy) both seem to be out a lot.. their games are similar..

Most overrated player in the league. Good QBs make him look as lost as a rookie out there.

If the Patriots play the Steelers in the playoffs, I hope he is back there to be abused by Brady.

I think Polamalu has a tendency to try to do too much at times. Result is if he's up against a smart, patient QB, he'll get caught out of a position on a fake and burnt on occasion. On the other hand that aggressive style of play can result in a big clutch play against other teams like that sack and forced fumble against the Ravens a couple weeks ago.

Regardless, the Steelers looked like a lost team when Polamalu was out last year. If the same thing happens this year Baltimore could end up winning the AFCN, and the other bye spot in the AFC would be up for grabs.

Achillies Last Stand. Well, somebody had to say it now, didn't they? Might as well be me.

Jets maybe, but after they they play the Jets tomorrow the Steelers have the Panthers and Browns left on their schedule. If I were a betting man, I'd still put my money on a 3--0 finish, unless they rest everybody and don't need a W in week 17.

Fine with me if he misses the playoffs.

I don't subscribe to the view (not suggesting that you do, BTW) that we want all of the Pats opponents to be at full strength when they play them. The 17 week NFL season plus three or four Playoff games is brutal enough. I'll take any advantage any week against any team, regular season or playoffs.
