You seem like an OK dude.

PLEASE...PLEASE...

Dont ask homer questions like 2 of your three listed.

SPYGATE - :nono:

TRIPGATE - :nono:

That's all I got. GL.

Is that you Felger??? You say it like it's a bad thing.

Why would there be anything wrong with "homer" questions. They are after all season ticket holders. Seem natural to me!

Like others have said, pick your favorite and have a backup. I doubt you'll get to ask three. You're going to go away frustrated. Maybe asking the questions will give you some measure of psychic satisfaction. I'll give you my expected answers. Let's see how close we can all get.

* The 18-game schedule, which only the owners seem to want. Between the Patriots and Packers there are some 27 players on IR. How has the league convinced itself that an 18-game schedule won't result in a watered-down product and war of attrition?

It's a good question and I can assure you it's something that we're looking at very carefully, in conjunction with the NFLPA and experts from all fields. Player safety is very important to our league, and our commitment to it has been demonstrated over and over this year, so you can be sure all these factors will be taken into account when the owners meet to discuss the subject.

* Why has the league not taken punitive action against the Jets for last week's tripgate incident? And, are you at all concerned that failure to do so only reinforces the public's view of you being soft on the Jets in general?

This is an ongoing matter being handled by the league, so that I won't comment other than to say we're investigating it fully. [He is almost certain not to bite on the "soft on the Jets" point, but if he does, it will be quick: "If punishment is warranted, we will act accordingly, as we have repeatedly done when the circumstances warrant."

* Since the spygate incident, many NFL coaches, both current and former, have come out and said that what the Patriots did was nothing unusual and in fact, practiced widely. In retrospect, wouldn't you consider the fines and loss of a draft choice something akin to killing a mosquito with a sledgehammer?

No. They were serious infractions that were dealt with appropriately and I would do the same thing over again. The club accepted responsibility.

They make him look like a fool IMO. He wont get the answer we all would love to hear, so it's pointless. Let it die already.

IMO, questions about the league in general (such as the CBA) would be much more appropriate and the response much more insightful.

Roger....

You're, quite possibly, the worst sports commissioner in U.S. major sports history. Dead people could do a better job than you have. When will you be resigning?

When you ask your questions, be sure to call him Mr. Jetdell.

Id ask what does he propose to do about blown calls, limited challenges and has he thought about penalizing refs?

Nobody is going to get a great answer to a question worth knowing the answer to, so it's all pointless.

Who cares if Roger Goodell or anyone else thinks he looks like a fool? It's not like he'll be publicly flogged for it.

To Mr. Commisioner: On Week 17, if you have 2 teams tied for a Division lead and games are scheuled for 1:00 and 4:15, what would impact your decision to move both games to the same time?

2008

seriously, simply ask him if the patriots were taping from the stands would it be OK with the NFL?

I would focus on the Colts and Bill Polian.
"Commish...your "investigation" regarding piped in crowd noise was a joke....you realize this don't you?"
Why have you allowed Bill Polian to intimidate referees and manipulate the rules committee in a self serving manner?

About Spygate, I would frame it so that he couldn't weasel out of it by talking about "proof."

The smoking gun, IMO, is the report that the Jets had previously been caught filming the Patriots during the previous year. The NFL responded that the Jets had gotten permission from the Patriots. The Patriots said they didn't give permission.

I would ask, "Given that, how is filming from an open location such a serious offense if it's allowed if the opposing team gives permission? If it's cheating, is the NFL saying it's OK only if you have permission to cheat?"

You need to frame these questions like a lawyer so that Goodell can't weasel out.

They would probably group the 75 of you in a room waiting for Goodell to show up. You should discuss what questions are going to be asked and maybe convince someone to ask your backup questions. Hopefully smart questions are asked and don't be afraid to call out the commissioner if he gives a BS answer.

Good luck!!!

Please don't ask that question about the 18 game season. First of all don't make the assumption most fans don't want it. Second of all there have been numerous posts showing that it will add is about 3 plays a game to the current number of snaps most starters will play. Third there has been no evidence that injuries increased dramatically when the season expanded from 14 to 16.

Take it for what its worth, a negotiating ploy where the players association will try to get bigger rosters and more revenue. Don't waste your one shot at fame with that question.

What I want Goodel to tell us is why he left the Pats hung out to dry by not addressing all the misinformation, speculation and downright lies that followed his decision. Why didn't he clearly state what rule or procedure the Pats violated. Why didn't he tell us what BB's position was and why he disagreed with it. If he had simply done that, the whole thing would have been a 2 week story. Instead he did nothing and really hurt the Patriots legacy dry for no reason.

THAT'S what we need to know. Now go get 'em, Tiger. Good luck

As much as we like to believe Goodell is the Dic*tator of the NFL, he is not.
He has been appointed by the majority of owners to represent them.
They can turf him if they'd like

He cannot implement an 18 game schedule on his own.
He cannot change rules or do anything about blown calls.

He is however a tyrant. He can interpret existing rules, and dole out punishment however he sees fit. Unilaterally it seems.

This is what he can be questioned on.

The more I think about it. If I were you.
I would hit the bar as soon as walked in, get wasted and make a scene.
Something you could tell your kids about.
You might get more satisfaction from that than anything he will say.

Have fun either way.
Go Pats.

Forget spygate questions, they will be useless and do no good. Please, please stress the fact that NOBODY wants an 18 game schedule. No one, no one, no one wants it.

I like this one the best so far!

Explain to him that New England and America love the NFL, a work stopage or lockout is completely unacceptable especially given the financial status of the league.

We want football in 2011.

Yes, I would prefer thigh-gate references instead. No one gets to grill Goodell on it so this would be a good platform.

Sorry for the rehash.

This is the rule so I've read. The Commish has his interpretation.

"no video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game." That was re-emphasized in a memo sent Sept. 6 to NFL head coaches and general managers in which the league said: "Videotaping of any type, including but not limited to taping of an opponent's offensive or defensive signals, is prohibited on the sidelines, in the coaches' booth, in the locker room, or at any other locations accessible to club staff members during the game."

This is his authority: (Like it or not) (but is it Tripgate applicable?)

NFL Rules Digest: Unfair Acts
Unfair Acts
Commissioner’s Authority The Commissioner has sole authority to investigate and to take appropriate disciplinary or corrective measures if any club action, nonparticipant interference, or emergency occurs in an NFL game which he deems so unfair or outside the accepted tactics encountered in professional football that such action has a major effect on the result of a game. No Club Protests The authority and measures provided for in this section (UNFAIR ACTS) do not constitute a protest machinery for NFL clubs to dispute the result of a game. The Commissioner will conduct an investigation under this section only to review an act or occurrence that he deems so unfair that the result of the game in question may be inequitable to one of the participating teams. The Commissioner will not apply his authority under this section when a club registers a complaint concerning judgmental errors or routine errors of omission by game officials. Games involving such complaints will continue to stand as completed. Penalties for Unfair Acts The Commissioner’s powers under this section (UNFAIR ACTS) include the imposition of monetary fines and draft choice forfeitures, suspension of persons involved, and, if appropriate, the reversal of a game’s result or the rescheduling of a game, either from the beginning or from the point at which the extraordinary act occurred. In the event of rescheduling a game, the Commissioner will be guided by the procedures specified above ("Procedures for Starting and Resuming Games" under EMERGENCIES). In all cases, the Commissioner will conduct a full investigation, including the opportunity for hearings, use of game videotape, and any other procedures he deems appropriate. Bills position:
"my interpretation was that you can't utilize anything to assist you during that game. What our camera guys do is clearly not allowed to be used during the game and has never been used during that game that it was shot."

Sorry I should show up more often. But I thought this was over?

Tune - GOOD LUCK !! I agree, the way PFK has written it here is by far what bugs the crap out of me!! It's not too late for him to right his wrongs by pointing out the truth and at the very least - come clean about no taping of the Rams walk through once and for all from his lips.

Go for it buddy and please let us know.
