hmmm true i just did some math. there was a blog that said if the Jets win and the Pats win, we get HFA, but i just realized that's not the case. if the Jets win out and the Pats lose their final two, we'd actually be a wild card team, as crazy as that sounds. (with 3 AFCE losses vs the Jets' 2).

I wish that they would rest him this week; I have heard that the Packer are not even going to show up. Even if they do...how will they deal with the snow:rolleyes:

Maybe we can give that D where we only have 1 down lineman another shot.

I don't think it's possible for the Patriots to lock up HFA this week. Even if the Patriots win, they could still go 12-4 with 3 total division losses. That means they could still be caught by either the Jets (who would have the tie breaker if they win out) or the Steelers. They could also be tied for record by the Ravens, but hold the tie breaker.

Since the Steelers and Jets cannot both win this week, a Patriots win at a minimum locks up a bye, but not HFA for a potential AFCCG.

Even if the Steelers and Jets tie, the Patriots cannot lock up HFA with a win, although, again, they would lock up a bye.

Pats win Pitt Loses we have Home field through out locked..we have all the tie breakers with Pit and the 2 other div leader cannot finish better then 11-5

Jesus. D-Line has been hit like a ton of bricks on the injury front.

Do we have any especially fat posters that could step in and help on the DL this week?

I mean strong, not fat.

Teenuh....

remember that 2005 game maybe against Miami where BB basically played a 0-7-4. I remember everyone was bouncing around standing up and the o-lineman had no idea what to do after the ball was snapped.

Other than in that situation the Jets could still win the East.

The way BB is working the controls these days I expect a trainer to suit up and get a few tackles, a sack, and a pressure or two. I mean, Moore came in off the street and did it last week....

IF we win the division. At that point, the magic number is 1 (Pats win or Jests loss).

Pats Injury / Practice Update

Pats Injury / Practice Update
By: Derek Havens

On Thursday, the Patriots practiced outside in the lower field. The team participated in drills in frigid temperatures throughout the morning. The teams second session was lighter as the team practiced in sweats and shells.

Geez, day after day, no progress between the two sides. This is getting SERIOUS. :D

Re: Pats Injury / Practice Update

I'm sorry, this is not an "update" when a Thursday practice report is posted at 3:10pm on a Friday.

This is now moved to the Thursday 1:38pm PM thread that reported and discussed this 26 hours ago.

I don't know if a report has been posted for today, but I know McCourty practiced for sure. So that rocks.

The only spooky thing is why Hernandez wasn't out there today...
