Status of QB Aaron Rodgers is the key in New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers - ESPN Boston

Mike: Let's make some predictions on what could be a snowy night. I'm going to make two -- one for if Aaron Rodgers plays, one for if he doesn't. The Packers need this game to keep their playoff hopes in a good place and I expect them to play much better than they did in Detroit. If Rodgers plays, I could see the Packers winning a close game late as I envision him having success against a pass defense without Devin McCourty. I'd go Packers 30, Patriots 27. If Rodgers doesn't play, I like the Patriots 31-14.

Tedy: OK, Reiss, I guess I will do the same, but my result is the same no matter who plays at quarterback. The Packers are beat up. You could field a pretty good team with their players that are on IR. I don't see this Patriots momentum slowing down. This is the most dialed-in I've seen Brady since '07. No Rodgers, Patriots 28-7. With Rodgers, Patriots 31-24

Patriots 23, Packers 17
The Packers may be without Aaron Rodgers here, depending on his concussion tests. If he can't go, Matt Flynn will have to match wits with Bill Belichick's defense. Good luck. The Patriots are flying high on offense. But the Packers play solid pass defense with two good corners. I look for Green Bay to keep it closer than expected.

Florio’s take: It’s unclear whether Aaron Rodgers (concussion) will be playing. It’s clear that it doesn’t matter. The Patriots have become this year’s dominant team, and they’re dominating at the right time.

Florio’s pick: Patriots 35, Packers 10.

Rosenthal’s take: I was all set to go on a long rant that the Packers were the toughest matchup possible for the Patriots. They have a diverse defense that can slow Tom Brady down. More importantly, they have the offense to out-score New England. Then I realized Matt Flynn was probably starting at quarterback. What a shame. (Except for the Bears.)

Rosenthal’s pick: Patriots 30, Packers 17.

Cheat Sheet: Week 15 NFL picks - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN
How good have the Pats been over the past five weeks? Since losing to Cleveland on Nov. 7, the Patriots have won five consecutive games without committing a single turnover. Not one. In those five wins, Tom Brady’s been incredibly efficient, completing more than 67 percent of his passes in each outing. Michael Vick’s "redemption" story certainly is an interesting one, Matt Ryan's on fire, and Maurice Jones-Drew is quietly putting together a career year, but Brady’s your 2010 MVP. That should be unanimous. The Packers need this one badly, but New England’s too locked in. On national TV, Brady won’t disappoint.

The Pick: Patriots 30, Packers 20

It's 8-0 in favor of the Pats; Pete O'Brien has the Pats winning 23-10
New England has racked up 126 points the last three weeks, including 45 vs. the New York Jets and 36 vs. the Chicago Bears, both top-10 defenses. The Packers will have to keep pace with QB Matt Flynn if Aaron Rodgers (concussion) can't play. Green Bay must capitalize on scoring drives with touchdowns. Defensively, the Packers have 37 sacks and must pressure QB Tom Brady, who is among the best in presnap adjustments.

How much is Randy Moss regretting that trade right now? Sans Moss, the Patriots are now the offensive juggernauts of the NFL, and according to "Madden," the Packers are about to be their latest victim. Tom Brady throws for 350 yards and three touchdowns as the Pats move to 12-2 on the season.

The Aaron Rodgers love is interesting.

When he was in for the first half in Detroit, they did zero. Flynn actually moved the ball much better.

Patriots 30, Packers 10
Looking more and more like Aaron Rodgers won't play. And from what I saw in Detroit, Matt Flynn against Bill Belichick is about as fair a fight as Peter King against Manny Pacquiao.

I don't agree with people thinking BB is so great against Rookie QB he has not faced or has tape of. In my opinion,he is really average against the unknown. BB is second to none on preparation with material. If he has a small sample size, i am usually scared of the match up.

Why does he say a secondary without McCourty....

Didn't he practice today?
I'm pretty sure the article was written after McCourty had not practiced earlier in the week, but before Thursday's practice.

oooooh okay. That's right. I didn't look at the date

Are you seriously implying the Packers have a better chance with Flynn at QB than they do with Rodgers at QB??
