Going forward, rather than start a new thread every time someone in the local media says something you disagree with and want to discuss, talk about it here. If you feel the need to vent about Borges, Felger, Dennis & Callahan, or whomever else: this is the place.

This is strictly for local media rants; for national media rants, use this thread:

Thank you for this thread!

Personally, I think we should have individual threads for:

- This Local Media Person Is a Bum
- This Local Media Person Is an Idiot
- This Local Media Person Is an Arse
- This Local Media Person Is a Moron
- This Local Media Person Sucks
- This Local Media Person Blows
- This Local Media Person Doesn't Know What He/She is Talking About
- This Local Media Person Hates the Pats

I think there are certain subtilies of the each argument that would get lost in a combined thread. I hope the moderators see the wisedome of my argument and correct this serious oversight.

Andy Hart of Partiots Football Weekly is a big fat bum. lol. I hope he reads this. Hey Andy, yer a bum. So there, nyahhh.

He never shuts up and he doesn't know anything. Today on the air, he said he'd never heard of Red Skelton. Yet another Andy gaffe. I'm gonna contact his college and see if something can be done to revoke his diploma.

Hey Andy, what DO you know about besides footbawl? You tard.
Oh yeah, and this too- he said he wanted to go see that idiotic Yogi Bear movie opening tomorrow.
Hey Andy, when you get back, why don't you give us a little report on the film's plot, theme, and character development... you freaking tard. lol.

(just kidding, kinda.)

Bill Belichick's Block of Marvin Harrison Drawing Comparisons With Sal Alosi's 'Tripgate' - New England Patriots - NESN.com

So is Felger the person responsible for the 2004 video of Belichick bumping into Marvin Harrison resurfacing?

Boston sports radio and TV personality Mike Felger recalled a specific moment in recent history when Belichick attempted to interfere with the opposing team. Granted, it was not as flagrant as Alosi's trip, and it wasn't all that effective, either.

During a playoff game in 2004, Belichick tried to block Colts receiver Marvin Harrison -- whose momentum had carried him into the Patriots' sideline -- from returning to the field. By the looks of the video, Belichick was trying to keep Harrison off the field for as long as he could, but his efforts were fairly unsuccessful.

Does this move by Belichick compare to that of Alosi? It doesn't seem so, as Alosi tripped a player in full sprint down the sideline, while Belichick stepped in the path of a player who was jogging back to the field. It's clearly interference, however, even though the referee ran by without so much as a whistle.

These consolidation threads are a good idea, but for some reason the expression "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" comes to mind every time I see one.

Felger should have known that the national media would run with this story. Stupid move on his part. I am guessing Jonathan Kraft won't be appearing on his show again any time soon.

The ironic thing is Felger used it to show that it was no big deal and show that the sideline wall is also no big deal. Now it is being spun to Belichick cheating again.

Felger's assinninity knows no bounds and he rolls with it. He admits as much when he alludes to callers dissing him. Without it he has no game. I'm hoping the Pats thoroughly embarrass the Pack just so the displaced Cheesehead has a little trouble falling asleep.

I'll save time and start this article here rather than elsewhere, since most will surely disagree with Chatham.

It Is What It Is | An unfortunate situation has led to some unwarranted opinions | Matt Chatham
So I’m guessing you’ve heard the one about the morally corrupt, meathead, New York Jets strength coach/cheater that built a fleshy wall-of-criminals and tripped the poor, defenseless Miami Dolphins gunner as he simply tried to do his job in the Jets-Dolphins game the other day? If this all sounds accurate, and you’re nodding along as you read, the concepts of “context” and “perspective” are in a pile on the other side of your wood-chipper.

The Dolphins’ Nolan Carroll was flagged earlier in the game for unsportsmanlike conduct for running out of bounds and not returning to the field in a timely fashion. So then he does it again, and the real story is a coach’s knee that moves a couple inches while in the area he’s legally required to be, contacting Carroll who … wait for it … isn’t?!

The point is Sal Alosi is having his job, livelihood, and good name threatened because, at its core, there is a palpable fear of public relations outrage from a mass audience that isn’t seeing what they’re seeing.

Carroll heads out of bounds on the 20 yard-line with a wide outside release to escape the double-team, grabs a Nathan’s with kraut from a vendor, high-fives Jenn Sterger’s replacement, and re-enters when he-damn-well-pleases before falling onto the 45 yard-line. In the absence of Sal’s lapse, his angle would likely have carried him up near midfield, 25-30 yards from where he started his tour of the countryside. And the only thing on the subject of “fairness” we’re discussing is a knee that traveled the length of the written word “Meadowlands?” Really?

What the hell is WEEI thinking putting Bob Ryan in as a guest host for D&C on a Monday. Nothing like some good Celts and college basketball talk on a Patriots' Monday. I'm surprised when they interviewed Brady that all Ryan's questions to Brady weren't to ask him how he felt about the Celtics' winning streak.

Yes, Ryan is a bum.

Ryan did make an excellent point that none of us are probably thought of. The Colts could be dangerous in the playoffs because Dallas Clark could be coming back soon from injured reserve. This is the kind of brilliant analysis that I have come to expect from Ryan.

Yeah, just got to shake your head. How could neither guy realize Dallas Clark is on IR?

Bill Pollian has found a way to circumvent the NFL rules, again !
I hope BB is not sleeping on it and he'll bring back a couple of players off IR list, too.

Has Felger emerged from his larval stage?

Is it just me or is Felgi tremendously more listen-able these days? It seems as if he is no longer the Delux Douche Nozzle that he was. He seems to actually appreciate the Patriots and BB. He is actually pleasant to listen to and entertaining.

For instance the other day EEI had the usual BB interview while Felgi was on the Sports Hub; I listened to Felger! He was much more entertaining...although watching pain dry is more interesting than listening to BB. But the fact remains that Felger has finally become a fan instead of nabob or negativity. Fact not fiction.

He can be good when he's not playing bad cop. Just keep in mind things have been going well and this team has exceeded expectations. If he was to continue to just pile on, he would be aligning himself with Borges. Felger is'nt stupid

Re: Has Felger evolved from being a DB?

Felger becoming the anti-DB? I spoke too soon.

Instead of congratulating the Patriots on a season no one could have expected and exceeding everyone's projections with a bunch of rookies and FA.... he is rolling out all the tired chestnuts about the spy-gate etc. Ick.

Christmas in January for Ron Borges

Remember how we felt when the Pats won a Super Bowl. Well, now you know how the self-procaimed Mr. Football's spirits are these days. On the WEEI program, he sounds like he just won Mega-Bucks.
