Westhoff accuses Patriots of building sideline wall, too

Sweet. Now there will definitely be a Senate investigation.

The classic defense. Point fingers elsewhere in the hopes the attention placed on you will be diverted. Practiced by three and four year olds worldwide.

I guess he thinks he can deflect attention by saying the "Cheatriots" do it too. Personally ive never seen any other team do this, and ive been watching football for 45 years.

So now every time there is wrongdoing in the NFL, the Patriots have to be implicated as well.:mad: "Stop deflecting the blame you stupid old coot"!

Well, true, but we (as fans) did this re: Cameragate.

Attention Deflecting 101.

But BB didn't, he took full responsibility. It seems the league is rewarding liars and tattlers with less discipline!

but, this is actually true. Wasn't it Ditka who defended the Pats after this?

Westoff is just throwing blame around

"They line their whole defense up"

And I would have been so stupid to think they were standing there because they had to go into the game after the punt.

The key point to me: Westhoff specifically mentions that defensive players 'line up' for the Patriots. Now, I wouldn't doubt if the Pats do this, and frankly I'd imagine most teams do; however, 1) you've never heard of the Patriots interfering with gunners, I'd imagine they step out of the way beforehand to avoid the 15 yard penalty; and 2) the wall the Jets employed contained PS players who aren't supposed to be on that part of the sideline.

In the end this is much ado about nothing, but to me the entire Spygate thing was similarly a non-event, so I'd love nothing more than to see some league penalties handed down to the Jets over this.

So this explains all the winning! Easterbrook and King had this right all along, the other shoe has finally dropped. We're doomed.

Yep, true.

It's not like I'm defending the Jets on this one. This came from their organization. Bunch of losers.

I have no doubt that most teams have players standing on the sidelines during NFL plays. It's an entirely different thing to set them up foot to foot like a soccer wall. I'm surprised they weren't all covering their crotches.

To paraphrase:

"I had no idea my team was engaging in this practice, even though I am Special Teams coach and it's my area of responsibility, but I know for a fact that other teams are engaging in this practice."

Riiiight.

I love it. He claims to have inside knowledge of every team's sideline practices except his own.

Exactly, I mean WTF is the strrength coach's business toeing the line during a punt return. The defenders will be running back onto the field:rolleyes:

We are witnessing the behavior of RATS escaping a sinking ship...
