Here's what Dilfer has to say:

"I've been asked a lot: How do you stop the New England Patriots?" Dilfer said. "Very, very simple [answer]. You can't. The only hope is that they stop themselves.

"Everybody in the National Football League tends to beat themselves at times -- penalties, turnovers, mental mistakes. For some reason, the New England Patriots don't do that. Call it coaching. Call it poise. Call it the Patriot Way. They don't beat themselves."

He does say the Pats aren't immune to a mistaked filled game, but points out how disciplined this team is.

I dont know but out of all that BSPN crew on NFL live and gameday, Dilfer is the smartest man aside Bruschi, maybe boomer

I honestly wish we fly under the radar and have the media focus their attention on the Falcons.

Highly doubt if that's possible considering the string of cameragate references that keep popping up and are bound to increase if our dominating performance continues.

I think I would rather have the media hate us than love us. :)

Nice of him to say, BUT, I only care about what the Patriots think and do. One game at a time. Let's see if they can beat a good Pack defense first.

Hes not as polished, but I like Hasselbeck too.

The only time I ever take this douche seriously is when he's talking X's and O's. Let's not forget that he said this: "No matter what happens on Monday night, I'm still convinced that the Jets are the best and most complete team in the NFL". :ugh: He changed his mind really quick after the Jets pasting.

I'm willing to give him a pass on that one... I don't think any right minded person expected what happened that Monday night. Even if you thought the Pats would win convincingly, 45-3 was just so far out of left field.

Even at the time I had a huge problem with it. For one, their quarterback blows. For another, it took last second TD's to beat teams with really bad defenses. When you can't score points and your biggest issue is your QB, you are decidedly not "the best and most complete team in the NFL".

Trent might want to think back a bit and recall that Cleveland and the Jets both found a way to stop the Patriots. There's only been one unstoppable team, and that's from more than 30 years ago.

He's being glib. Suffice it to say they don't beat themselves. They certainly have weaknesses that could be exploited by another team who executes well.

I don't know about you, but I'm sure happy that we now have The Dill on board.

I like Trent Dilfer, but I think he's getting a little too excited over this one.

There is a way to stop the Pats and it's a fierce pass rush.

The only team that has that capability is the New York Giants.

It's difficult for any QB to throw against a team that can rush only 3 or 4 and still get pressure.
