"He has a coterie of receivers who are really my size," Kraft joked. "Over the years I've always said how we've never had these classic, big receivers. He's really been able to make out with that."

Insulting his own players?

Thank you Kraft, but I like it better when you don't talk.

to quote a smart man from the bevis and butthead show

"you aint right in the head are you?"

He was being self deprecating and praising not only TFB play but those smurfs we call god sends play. :bricks:

Robert Kraft: New England Patriots' chemistry, karma 'pretty special' - ESPN Boston

I like how he added in the 33rd pick as to say Carolina isn't getting out of that spot....a little surprising when he says the team never had a big receiver,I guess Moss is already a forgotten memory

He said we haven't had the big classic receivers over the years. What he said is accurate. We've had one in ten years. Other than that, our top receivers have been Troy, Patten, branch, givens, Gaffney, Caldwell etc.

Why not give the guy a break, he said what he meant to. He's under no obligation (and it would probably be poor taste given Moss' struggles) to mention Moss.

I am not making a big issue of this and I never really cared for Moss anyway but he said never had a big classic receiver...we did in Moss and Givens who was 6 feet tall.....there were only a few but there were some along the way.

That being said,he remains the best owner in the NFL

And the patriots are on the clock now with picks number 32 & 33. Will be interesting to see what they do here...

Kraft has no idea what he is talking about. Doug Gabriel qualifies.:p

If in fact it becomes 32 and 33 I would think the Pats would deal both picks to a team who is getting the 12th pick and then they would have pick 12 and a late teens pick from the Raiders if they think the first round has many gems

If they get pick 33, they will probably trade it away after the first round is complete. It is a particularly valuable trading pick as the first pick on the 2nd day of the draft - teams have all night to talk themselves into needing to trade up/having time to put a trade deal together.

No he didn't. These is plural, Moss is only one. Givens, a big classic receiver? Oh come on, you know he wasn't talking about a 7th round possession receiver.

Why do people misread things and then try to make these narrow lawyer arguments?

It was quite clear what he said and what he meant. simple.

Hear that, Randy Moss, Adalius Thomas, Shawn Springs, Chris Baker, and Derrick Burgess? Screw you guys!
