From the Sunday Night Football post-game show.

The praise just keeps on coming.

I was under the impression that he hated the Pats, and could never say anything remotely positive about the team.

I can't stand the *********. He is like the waiter hawking the daily special, and today the Pat's were. Tomorrow, if another team dominates an opponent, they will be it.....

But was does Tom Jackson, Chris Carter and Marshall Faulk have to say..

Inquiring minds want to know????:confused::confused:

Jackson was praising the Pats on the Blitz with Berman. Jackson was saying he was amazed by their mental toughness, and physical toughness. Then at the end, he was just speechless. You can see his hatred on his face. Who cares, I don't give a sh*t about regular season accolades. I'm just hoping the Pats are peaking at the right time.

I can see why Collinsworth isn't too popular -- he does have a way of coming across as a smarmy know-it-all ****. That said, I have generally liked him, and think he is usually more thoughtful and well-spoken than most. I haven't thought him to be particularly anti-Patriots.

Hes trashed the pats for years.

I was thinking that Jackson hasn't been his old self this year, i have repeatedly heard him praising the team. Maybe Teddy B has talked to him and Shlareath?

You might be right here....

That's kind of the way I've felt about him. Though, I would say from 2001-2003, he was definitely not a believer in the Pats.

Yesterday doesn't mean sh!t for any day but yesterday.

Tom knows that. Bill knows that. Big Vince knows that. They are making sure that everyone else on the team knows that too.

Media blowhards are all about momentum, and keeping it up, and "wow, what I just saw was amazing". I actually like Collingsworth better than most national media, though he falls into the same pitfall (which I guess is a requirement of the job, to project what you are seeing onto what hasn't happened yet, so maybe there's no reason to hate on him at all)

After all the bluster, in baseball: momentum is tomorrow's starting pitcher.

In football: momentum is how hard you work this week to prepare yourself to do your job as well as you can.

I don't get the hate on Collinsworth, I actually like him.
He said one of the funniest things I've heard on a football game.
In a Washington game last year, Jason Campbell made an horrible play where he fumbled the ball. And the other announcer said "the question is whether his knee was down or not." and Cris said "yeah, the other question is what the hell is Jason Campbell doing.":D
Tom Jackson also doesn't strike me as a hater. It seems like no one can say anything bad about the Patriots the you guys call him a hater. A hater is Marshall Faulk.

I really like Collinsworth. He notices stuff that not many color guys notice. He sees more in live play than most guys see with the benefit of replay.

Spygate aside, I'm not sure I've ever heard him be unjustly critical of the Patriots.

Chris Collinsworth, Master of the Obvious.

Beat the Ravens...Beat the Chargers...Beat the Colts...Beat the Steelers...Beat the Jets...all the "best of the AFC"

Then Beat the Bears in Chicago, in a Snow Storm and beat them badly. They were supposed to be one of the "best" of the NFC.

Pretty easy to see how the QB of a team that does that, is in line for the MVP and how the team should be the Super Bowl Favorite.

All i can say is this team is scary good right now and are playing some of the best football i have ever seen.Let's hope they can continue it through the playoffs..

Well we can count on Micheal I rvin and M Faulk to keep up the hate. ;)
