NFLN:Has Tom Brady clinched the MVP?

obviously he hasnt clinched but it would be a runaway if the season ended today. nfln has to say something to faulk. its getting embarassing, there has to be some sense of proper journalism for the network.

If Brady's name were Peyton he would have clinched it 4 weeks ago.

I don't think Marshall was that bad here, actually. I think Michael Irvin was much worse with Michael Vick this, Michael Vick that.

it is between Brady, Rivers, and Matty Ryan at this point. Brady has been lights out this year and even better post Moss.

Rivers never gets the credit, but he is also having one hell of a year
Ryan is great as well and has the team record to back it up.

Who know because voters are idiots

1. Brady
2. Vick
3. Rivers

Brady has more wins and better stats than both. He's winning it.

Doesn't matter to me. Let Rivers or Vick (or Manning for that matter) get it; I'd rather have the Patriots win another Super Bowl.

We love(d) throwing Manning's numbers back in Colts fans' faces because he hasn't won as many rings.

I think in any media program there has to be at least one dessenting opinion just to at least spur conversation.

Most years the MVP debate comes down to a player with flashy stats versus a player with more wins.

This year there really is NO debate. As pointed out by another poster, Brady has more wins and the best stats amongst other contenders. Case closed.

Michael Vick really shouldn't even be in the conversation given the time that he has missed. Does he make highlight plays? Yes, but he is not MVP. Brady has more wins, better stats, and less of a supporting cast. Done deal. Peyton Manning's INTs and losses have officially taken him out of the running, so at least we can eliminate the annual media darling.

Brady has separated himself from the field. I'm expecting the MVP vote should be a nail biter in the vein of Cam Newton's Heisman win.

I'm going to be honest. I want Rivers to get the MVP during the season...

I want Brady to win a different award :D

Doesn't Brady now have 29 TD? Second most for him aside from '07, IIRC.

The best QB rating. 29 TD's 4 int's vs some of the best defenses in football ? Yeah he's clinched it.

Just realized this was filmed before today's game. Anyone who's not convinced after today has to be a, ...well .. a Marshall Faulk.

To through 350 and 2T's, 0I's in a Blizzard, never-ing hanging 35+ on the 2nd best defense in the leaque (to go along with 35+ on 2 other good defenses in the Steelers & Jets). Yeah..... he moving towards the lock.

3 games to go. Pats 11-2. Brady just has to play the same as he always does. I can easily see him racking up 3 more 300 yard games and at least another 7-10 TDs in that timespan. Brady's earned the MVP this year. There is really no other player that has 'mastered' offense the way he does it in 2010. And doing that WITHOUT Moss just makes it that much more impressive.

Please, there's no rule that you can't take home both pieces of hardware. I have a really good feeling about this year! Really loving this football team right now.

Brady might have to murder some pets to clinch the MVP award. It sure has helped Vick. Screaming Michael Irvin is a crackhead - do not listen to his crack induced rantings.

You're right. There is no rule.. But can you name the last player who did it??? Or how many times it's been done since the SB came into existence??

Brady is playing out of his mind right right now, IMO - the best stretch of his career. Think about it - the award is for the Most Valuable Player - Take Brady off this team - Do you think the Pats would be 11-2 and the best team in the league right now?

Clinching means not having to do anything else. Fact of the matter is there are still three games left to be played, and if he had a Peyton Manning-esque stinker of a stretch then he could lose it. But assuming he continues to play as he has been, the MVP is his.
