Kevin Faulk is one of my favorite Patriot players ever. I hated to hear he was on the IR, because I know this might be his last year. However, here is a good article about how he helped out on the sidelines this past Monday.

wheres the article? lol

You forgot to link the article ;)

This is what I love about the Patriots. The veterans have no issues schooling the new or younger players in what it takes to succeed full well knowing that their snaps on the team may be in jeopardy.

God I love this team.

It is a good article. He is working towards recovery, and if he decides to pump the team the rest of the season (all week), he could get comfortable enough for a coaching job. And with the turnover we've had in coordinators, it's good to have options.

I'll be honest.. I only see one coach whom I think could be signed away from the Pats. And that is Pepper Johnson. And it would be a huge loss for the Pats if he was signed away.

All the rest are too young and lack experience or don't want to go anywhere else (ala Scarnecchia).

Teams were lining up for a shot at making Pepper Johnson their defensive coordinator. He stayed. Maybe he's just happy where he is and comfortable in his current role.

I find it interesting how engaged and present Faulk has been since he was put on the IR. There have been numerous references to him in the past few weeks. Even BB has mentioned is contributions. That usually isn't the way most players take their IR situations. Most leave and try not to be a distraction. Brady was rarely in NE in 2008. There has been NO mention of Boddin, Kascur, Neal and Warren since they've been put on IR.

Faulk looks like the exception rather than the rule. Could we be starting to see the emergence of COACH Faulk?

I would not be surprised to see Kevin join former teammate Corwin Brown as a coach on the Pats.. Not sure if Ivan needs an assistant or if Kevin would work with the receivers, but I'd love to see him take on a role with the Pats.

Well, and I would think Kevin is approaching it this way, you never know.

What if Woodhead tears his ACL next year, who then. I think #33 should do his best to recover, stay focused and let the team decide if he can or can not be used next year.

You just never know what is in the future. I think a year off and rehab could produce a healthy KF, at that point he battles for a position like everyone else.

I am not prepared to see this injury end his career. He is a situational player and as such would not be wore down too much.

Get healthy, work had and get back on this team Kevin...and re: his attitude, is anyone really surprised here...I am sure a lot of this has to do with his upbringing but he is as grounded, humble, and determined as it comes....too bad that never wore off on his 3rd cousin...

ugh. it's an article from the Herald. I hate to give them hits. Could someone give the highlights of the article?

How about his role next year? He looks like a player that wants to get resigned, and I can't wait to see how BB would use both Faulk and Woodhead on the same field together

That would be awesome.. Having 2 RBs back there who actually can pick up the blitz and/or come out of the backfield to catch a pass.. Talk about mismatches..

I posted this too late at night, and like an idiot forgot to include the link. :ugh:

Thanks to Memento for posting it

Darn it .. can't we find a way to fit in Kevin Faulk without injuring my binky
