Why would Houston take a QB? Why would Philly take a RB?

Why in the world is Colt McCoy in the first round? What?!?!

McCoy has looked like the real deal. Any QB that is the real deal is a 1st rounder IMO. Would you take Cassel over Palmer and Leinart?

I think Gruden is an airhead, but he kept saying that finding a TE that can block and catch is rare, and Gronk does both well. I agree with him on this one - Herby is a 1st rounder in my revised mock, but behind Gronk.

Pouncey has been awesome, as you'd expect from the highest drafted interior OL in years.

But #3 overall? Paying him $12.4 million/year, when Nick Mangold's new deal makes him the NFL's highest-paid center at $7.6 million/year? No way, no how. Gosselin should know better.

Good point. There aren't many positions worthy of #3 money, at least in the old draft.

I'll give this guy props for the concept, but between the questionable picks & the love for the Steelers w/out mentioning how the Pats own them, his judgment seems a little dubious.

And there's this: the game he's got "circled on his calendar" is....St. Louis at Seattle, Jan. 2. Yeah, there's a clash of the titans. Can't wait.

The concept is hardly new, although he may have started it at some point.

Another problem I have is: Why all of a sudden are so many RBs worth 1st round picks again?

Right--he didn't actually do a good job w/that.

I didn't think he originated the concept, just that it's not a bad use of a column.

what a hack job...all based on stats....right after the draft, its one stupid blurb after another...

jermaine gresham has been a very solid TE...not his fault the rest of the team is a joke

the most impressive was pittsburgh over baltimore? both teams lost to the pats.

then the notion of 'chicago has the defense to beat anyone'.....yah, no kidding so do the pats.....the only things that can slow down brady are the weather and the soldier field turf

I don't agree, but it's at least arguable that Hernandez has more upside than Gronkowski and hence might be redrafted before him.

hernandez has a long way to go on multiple levels

He also has Tony Moeaki and his 3 TD's ahead of Gronkowski.

Josh Beckett is better than Felix Hernandez because he has more wins over 3 yrs.

wait....what?

There is so much more to football than individual stats.

At the end of the day, if a rookie can contribute to the team's success, then we are so much better off than having a superstar rookie with great stats.

Uhh... why would the Texans want a first-round QB? They have Schaub.

I guess Hernandez's sexier stats and upside got him drafted over Gronk in this re-draft. I don't think he's taking into advantage Gronk's blocking skills on top of what he can do as a receiver.

Exactly why they'd want a first-round QB.

So it took what, 3 pages before Deus made his typical ridiculous exclamation. Nice job Deus. You're really doing a great job trying to get better.

With McCourty producing big results on Monday night football and starting to get national attention, do you think he has a good shot at Defense Rookie of the Year?

Suh got it locked up. I think he is still one of the most dominant d-linemen in the league - rookie or otherwise. He is also more of a media darling. If McCourty ends the season with 10 plus INTs, the discussion may change in his favor. But right now, Suh would need a total collapse the last month to lose it otherwise.

Schaub is not an elite or next tier QB, but he is certainly above average. But I guess with Andre Johnson and Arien Foster, most QB maybe at that level or better.
