...on Monday night. Especially #57 Bart Scott. As I watched the 1st half replay, I focused in on him. The Pats tossed that guy around like a rag doll and he gave up on several plays in the first half, right after initial contact. The guy looked like he did not to want be in the building, at all.

Does anyone who knows the Jets players know if Bart Scott is that atrocious all the time?

The Jets LB corp for the most part this season has been overrated and mediocre at best. They have had flashes, but they have been a weak part of the defense this year.

This year at least, I would take the Pats' LB corp over the Jets especially inside.

Adalius Thomas jets version?

Bart Scott??? Didn't you see his pre-game segment. He is the VILLAIN!!! He makes the other team PAY!!!

I was looking at his stats the other day and really have no idea why he is considered to be a good ILB. He averages around 4 tackles a game over his career and lacks play making abilities. In nine seasons, he has 18 sacks, but 13.5 came in '05-06. In the other seven seasons, he has 4.5 sacks total. He has three career interceptions and three forced fumbles.

Can someone please explain to me why he got that big contract...

I understand why Rex wanted him. He wanted a guy with experience in his defense, and who would help change the culture of the Jets. To some degree, he succeeded in that, even if he hasn't been all-pro on the field.

Yes, he flew to his house and gave him a blank check. This team is f'ed when the salary cap comes back.

Normally David Harris covers for Scott. Harris had a bad game, and that exposed "the villain" for what he is.

PFF thinks that Scott is amazing at shedding blocks.
