I've always liked Gosselin, except I don't understand this in the same article: "Pittsburgh's win Sunday night over Baltimore may have been the most impressive victory of the season." ??? Perhaps from a defensive standpoint, but I do recall the Patriots going on the road and taking that same "impressive" team to the woodshed, and that was on BOTH sides of the ball.

If we redid 2010 NFL Draft: Cowboys' Dez Bryant a Top-5 pick | Inside the NFL Newsletter | Sports News | News for Dallas, Texas | Dallas Morning News

In his new mock, he has the following Pats as first round picks:

#4 overall- Devin McCourty (top CB, as Joe Haden is #9)
#19 overall- Aaron Hernandez
#30 overall- Rob Gronkowski

I would be curious to see his second round as well. I'd imagine that Spikes and Cunningham would be potential second rounders based on what they've shown so far.

Pittsburgh vs Baltimore really wasn't of that high a quality. It was tough but that was it.

By the end of the Ravens game the Pats D was brutalizing them, the Pats handed the Steelers an arse whooping for 50 minutes before relaxing and they've just come off a 42 point win over the "most complete team in the NFL" according to many pundits.

Continue to write off this Patriots sides you stupids.

surprised spikes didn't squeeze in there at 32 he does have 61 tackles and an interception, starting every game as a rookie.

But i can understand why he wasn't included. congrats to McCourty, Hern and Gronk

He's got Hernandez over Gronkowski?

Until he fixes that obvious mistake, there's no use looking at the rest of his list.

I agree Gronk is the better all around TE

I don't agree, but it's at least arguable that Hernandez has more upside than Gronkowski and hence might be redrafted before him.

He should redo the entire 2008 draft. I'd be interested to see where Woodhead lands...

He also has Tony Moeaki and his 3 TD's ahead of Gronkowski.

Seems a little early for this type of thing, I'd wait until the year is over. Some rookies will possibly be in another 8 games, and at least 4. That's a lot of time. Especially with college season winding down and guys hitting the "wall." Now we're going to start seeing some of the real players.

Where did you get that from?

Pouncey has been awesome, as you'd expect from the highest drafted interior OL in years.

But #3 overall? Paying him $12.4 million/year, when Nick Mangold's new deal makes him the NFL's highest-paid center at $7.6 million/year? No way, no how. Gosselin should know better.

Moeaki has been excellent for the Chiefs. The problem with him has been the same as it was in college: health.

I guess it now only takes one month for the azz whooping at Heinz Field to fade into oblivion.

Both of those teams are "complete" in the sense that their defenses are working toward the ineptitude of the offenses.

The draft part is interesting.

The part with him "stamping" the Steelers as SB favorites is a little over the top. If there's one team the Pats know how to beat, almost systematically, is Pittsburgh and that goes for home and away.

Kansas City and Cleveland were right to select Eric Berry and Joe Haden, respectively.

The Chiefs already have Brandon Flowers as their top corner back. Otherwise, I think the top five or seven selections turned out well. If not McCourty, Washington might have selected Mike Williams.

Rick, before draft some experts argue so called position value, especially if you draft in top 10,you don't pass on franchise

Dez Bryant at 5? Hmmm let's see how he does in the next few years....not very well I suspect. He publishes in the Dallas paper; this must be why Dez is rated so high...

Or maybe it's because Dez Bryant was having a great year and supplanted two other receivers to become their #1 target?

All that talk and debate over Dez Bryant or McCourty, and at the end either one wouldn't have been a bad pick. I'm real happy we got McCourty though.

People were complaining about why did Belichick waste a 1st rounder on a special teams player.

Yea, I really took this re-draft with a grain of salt. It looks like it was put together with not much thought given. He probably just ranked all the rookies and plugged them in regardless of team need or position.

Sorry, presed wrong button.
So,you draft QB,LT,DT,pass rushing DE,CB if you are picking top 10.Remember KC dilema ? Are safties worth a top five picks ? Is a tackle worth far more than a safety ?
Are centers worth # 3 overall ?
At that time every ' expert ' was saying that Washington will not pass on Okung for Williams and 8 months later you are saying that McCourty should be their top selection ?Tampa bay didn't need a center, their primery needs were on defensive side ,they took 2 DT's with their top picks. And drafting Jacoby Ford # 8 overall ?
I DARE YOU ,RICK, to draft any player past first 100 next April, and have him as your top 10 selection.
