OT: Too funny -- Giants letting 'Fins use indoor facility

Green Beans fans are all pissed off that the Giants are letting the Dolphins use their indoor practice facility to prep for Sunday's game. It appears that the 'Fins are flying up early Friday because the weather looks iffy.

My favorite postings from the Jets fans in that forum were the "Norman Einstein's" who were proposing the Jets management hire helicopters to go up and spy on the (INDOOR!!!!) practice.

That is funny. Leave it to Jets fans to get ticked off about this. Hopefully, some of the Dolphin's players sneak into the Jets' locker room and leave a personal calling card in a couple of their lockers. Preferably, Revis, Holmes, and Scott's.

I don't see the advantage.

I'll spell it out for you: The Dolphins play the Green Beans this Sunday in the Meadowlands. The Dolphins would normally fly up Saturday but are coming a day early due to the weather forecast. The Giants are granting them use of their indoor practice field to get ready for the game. Green Beans fans don't like it.

This is hysterical because next to us the Giants are the JETS second biggest rival (unless you count the Yankees) in the all important to Woody battle for NY sporting relevance... They hate each other yet share a stadium in NJ out of financial necessity with a team they were forced to rent from for decades... And now the Giants are lending the Dolphins a helping hand. The enemy of my enemy is my friend...LOL

The 'Phins will get a lot more out of practicing in a state of the art facility on Friday and Saturday then they would have holding walkthroughs in some hotel ballroom...

Everybody but JETS fans hates the JETS...and even some of them are turning...

Chicago fans were concerned about us Monday afternoon, but they were rooting for us to beat the blowhard JETS. They also figured we'd be tougher to face coming off a loss. And they wanted us to soften up the JETS and knock 'em down a peg for them the following week.

By Monday night they were scared ****less about what is coming their way this week... Although not remotely as concerned about what awaits them in week 15...

I believe that this type of request is fairly routine.

Remember in 2008 when the Patriots played two straight weeks on the West Coast (SF, then SD) and they decided not to fly back between games?

I believe that they used some college or high school facility to practice. Granted they didn't use an NFL facility, but still...If one had been available I'm sure they would have asked but no other NFL team plays within a few hundred miles of San Diego.

Jets fans are pathetic, getting their panties in a wad over the slightest thing.

This is why BB is one step ahead of the rest, BB would have them practicing outside in the conditions they would be playing in so they could be more seasoned for them. You would think the Dolphins especially would want to take advantage of it getting used to the cold weather coming from the warmth of Florida.

This story warms my heart. Before there was a New England Patriots, most folks up here in Maine were Giants fans. Some still are. No one liked the Jets, so this is doubly delicious.

Green Beans fans are all pissed off that the Giants are letting the Dolphins use their indoor practice facility to prep for Sunday's game. It appears that the 'Fins are flying up early Friday because the weather looks iffy.

It was reported this morning in NY that they're going to practice outdoors and that the purpose of the trip was to get acclimated to the cold. I think that Miami is taking this game very seriously, as they will the game against the Pats. Remember that a lot of teams had them in the Playoff mix at the beginning of the season and they definitely feel they have something to prove.

The level of discourse on the Jets boards is quite amazingly low...I haven't heard "******" thrown at someone as an epithet since grade school...

Back in 2007 the Jets "hosted" the Giants in a regular season game, and one thing I will never forget was an NFL Films clip I saw from the pregame warm-ups. The Jets fans were heckling the Giants players as they were stretching, and one of the Giants turned around and yelled, "Shut up or we'll raise your team's rent!"

Not entirely on topic, but I thought it was funny.
