Thanks for moving the game to 4, the same time Miami is on....now I have to go watch it at a bar

Now I have an excuse to buy wings again though :D

I really hate the NFL rules. So the Saints have a home game that has been sold out for like a decade and they still have to black out the Pats game here.

Whew... Pats are on here. Which makes me one very happy Demolition Man. :rocker:

Same. Sucks being in the NY market.

Crap, no Pats game in Philly!

God damnit. Because the game got moved to 4:15, I now have the displeasure of having to watch the Dolphins and the Jets. Oh well. I'll be streamin' it.

im in New Orleans too and the Saints become so annoying when all the other games are blacked out for them

I agree, I think it's a ridiculous, outdated rule. Supposedly the reason is so that people will still attend games locally rather than watch a better game on TV. That's dumb; if that's what those people want to do, they're still going to do it simply by watching that other game at a sports bar.

The real reason is to induce fans who follow other teams to either buy the Sunday Ticket, or to go to a sports bar that purchased Sunday Ticket. Either scenario equals more sales of the Sunday Ticket; more sales of the ST equals a higher price that the NFL can get for the package next time it's up for bid.

On a side note the CBS station in Tampa seems to be taking a different strategy this year. The past few years they seemed to focus on broadcasting the best NFL game available. This year it's all Dolphins all the time. I guess they see all the empty seats at Raymond James Stadium and think Tampa football fans will once again become Dolphin fans, like many were up until the mid 90's. Bottom line is there seem to be less Pats games on broadcast TV this year despite New England's record. Fortunately there are a few Pats bars in the area.

I'm just happy to be able to see so many Pats games at home, considering I live in Texas. Looks like I get to watch them again this week. :)

Looking forward to watching the pats again this week. For years I had to work on Sunday afternoon and missed so many games, now with Sunday off every week it is nice to watch every game! Even when I was working though we had the game of the week on and the Pats played in a lot of those. The big ones especially.

The intertubes are a wonderful thing these days.

Back in the late 70's and early 80's, I was deployed overseas a lot and it was h3ll trying to listen to games. Due to the time differences, we could sometimes get one of the Radiomen to tune in for us. If we were airborne, we could usually find the game through one of our radios and pipe it through one of the ICS loops so you could listen in over your headset. In Spain it was more difficult, but in Bermuda and the Azores were could often get it on our regular radios, and every now and then through AFRTS.

Most of the time we had to rely on the sports pages of the newspapers, and they were usually a day or two late.

My sentiments exactly, but it looks like the game is on in Connecticut...sounds like a good Sunday to visit my brother-in-law up there...

Do we get the early CBS game in the Boston market?

For the early game all of New England gets both the Bengals at Steelers on CBS and also the Giants at Vikings on Fox. Then the Pats at Bears is on CBS late.
