40 mph winds in Chicago?

I just looked at a weather forecast and it says 'from wnw at 38 mph' and snowy with 20 degree temperatures.

Daily Weather Forecast for Chicago, IL - weather.com

So much for the passing game.

Our short passing game should ensure that we should still be able to move the ball. If anything, this is a positive for us. Martz likes to run a high octane offense that doesn't utilize the run very often. Furthermore, Chicago's offensive line hasn't shown a consistent ability to run block very well. We like to run the ball a good amount and our O-Line has been able to run block against the likes of the Steelers and the Jets. We'll be alright.

The recent success of Chicago's offense has been that Martz has really committed to the run in the past couple weeks.

5 days away as well. A lot can change between now and then. Also, conditions seemed to look a little better at night and this game is a 4:15 game.

That is nothing out of the ordinary and the estimates are conservative. Good luck trying to kick a field goal. The "grass" at Soldier Field is going to mess up the release point. Nothing over a 40 yarder for you!

Maybe they'ltone it down abit by sunday. 40 mph is gale force winds...that's a little cfrazy.

Guess it comes down to who throws the tighter spiral, faster pass and whose guys can get separation on short throws.

They've used it more often lately, but that doesn't mean that they're suddenly a run first team. Chicago has had a 100 yard rushing performance out of their power back (Forte) twice this season. Against Detroit, he amassed a whole 64 yards on 13 attempts. Our run defense can contain the run better than Detroit, so I don't see them having a lot of success on the ground... especially if we commit 8 men in the box. Where Forte worries me most is on wheel routes out of the backfield. That's where he'll be most dangerous.

martz cant contain himself vs BB. he will throw on this secondary.

Another site shows a high of 26 and a low of -3 and light flurries!

I'm flying in on Saturday. I was at the Tenn playoff game and hoped not to repeat such a outing! Time to reprise my role of "Heat Pack Mule"

"Something wrong?"

"Yeah, I think one of my heat packs moved"

Won't your kicker be attempting FG's on the same field???

When the Winds at out backs we better make hay.

Sounds like what Bruschi used to call "Patriots Weather."

I hope it's the same or worse when the Jets and their Sunny California Sanchize play there in another week.

Wasn't it windy and snowing versus the Titans last season? :rocker:

You don't seem to realize that the Pats played on the worst grass field in the league in Pittsburgh. And they won. Handedly. Playing on Soldier field won't be an issue.

As for the wind, I have news for you. What affects one team, affects the other. And you do realize that Robbie Gould is only with the Bears because of the Pats, yes?

Soldier field was just resodded over the past two weeks. It should be better...

The report shown by the OP doesn't tell the whole forecast that weather.com has:

Daily Weather Forecast for Soldier Field - weather.com

Winds will be dying down as the day moves on. The winds in Foxboro were in the 20 MPH range this past weekend with no issues for Brady.

Come on. You expect George to respond to facts??? Anytime they've been used, he bumbles and stumbles in his vodka induced haze..
