As the season moves on things get more interesting.

Patriots (10-2) at Bears (9-3), Obvious.

Dolphins (6-6) at Jets (9-3) - Unless you are chicken little to the extreme. If the Jets win this game plus an Oakland loss and the Pats get a playoff spot even if the Pats lose the next four. I can't think that way. A Dolphin win gives us separation in the division race. And I hate the Jets.

Raiders (6-6) at Jaguars (7-5) to improve the first round pick.

Falcons (10-2) at Panthers (1-11) Pick #33 is looking good.

Giants (8-4) at Vikings (5-7) to help our third round pick.

Colts (6-6) at Titans (5-7), So Colts pick after Oakland (Titans are too far behind. Also Colts wins help us with tiebreakers with Jets if it comes to that b/c of a loss to Packers or Bears. (I take sadistic joy in watching Moss pout. I also take sadistic joy in seeing Manning pout, so that is a wash)

Bengals (2-10) at Steelers (9-3), the race for #1 seed. Also give Bengals some breathing room a head of the Panthers. However a Steelers win helps us with the Jets tie breakers.

Broncos (3-9) at Cardinals (3-9), doesn't impact the Patriots. Just want to keep the streak of fire a coach, win some games going.

Browns (5-7) at Bills (2-10), Could go either way here. Bills win helps us with the number 2 pick, and with tie breakers vs the Jets. A Browns win us with the #3 pick. I am rooting for Bills cause I hate Mangini.

Buccaneers (7-5) at Redskins (5-7), first and third pick.

Chiefs (8-4) at Chargers (6-6), 1st round pick plus helps us with tiebreakers vs Jets.

Eagles (8-4) at Cowboys (4-8), 3rd round pick.

Packers (8-4) at Lions (2-10), Hmmm....Packers win helps us with tiebreakers vs Jets if we lose to the Bears. Lions win helps us with pick #2. Rooting for Lions cause we ain't losing to no stinking bears.

Rams (6-6) at Saints (9-3), first round pick

Seahawks (6-6) at 49ers (4-8), first round pick. 48rs win helps us with 3rd round pick.

Ravens (8-4) at Texans (5-7) Ravens win helps us doubly with Jets tiebreakers. Texans win helps us with 3rd round pick.

Giants (8-4) at Vikings (5-7) to help our third round pick.

Why are you rooting for teams that would help our 3rd round pick but hurt our 1st? It should be the other way around.

Raiders, Vikings and Texans lose and they're all tied at 6-7 with a chance for the latter two to pass the Raiders.

There's no way I'm rooting for the Chargers to win. They would be the most dangerous wildcard AFC team. I'd rather not see them make the playoffs. Plus I hate the Chargers. :)

Can not go with the Colts and Chargers picks. Would rather wish them well watching the playoffs in front of thier tv's. Need the Jags to take that division (would rather face them) and I really do not want anything to do with the Chargers come playoff time.

With the Raven - Texans game. I am rooting for the Ravens because it helps us with Jets tiebreakers twice. And see that as a slightly higher priority than the picks. Once different story, but this game affects the tiebreaker twice.

As for Vikings. I am just rooting for the Vikings to do as poorly as possible, without regard for where it affect the Oakland pick. Same deal with Carolina. I can see taking the opposite approach however. As long as we agree on the rooting interest of the first game listed..we're good.

i would love to see the colts and chargers both miss the playoffs, so screw the couple positions of the picks to make that happen

Here's a thought: If the Patriots, Dolphins and Steelers win, could we actually be rooting for the Jets v Pittsburgh the next week? For HFA in the playoffs? Naaah.

Maybe some folks might. But I can guarantee you no matter what happens this week in the first post of "Who to root for....week 15 edition" thread will have the Steelers highlighted not the Jets. (it will be line two of that post)

Colts, Chargers, and Jets need to keep losing. That's what I want to see. Oh and a Pats win over Chicago. :)

Go Fish! :D

Yeah i am on your side here any team 5-7 or 6-6 i am rooting for because i want as many of these low teams to pass the raiders as possible... stuff the 3rd i want the 1st as high as possible... just means we can trade down and pick up more 3rd's.... which we will turn into 2nd's the next year (hopefully in another Carolina/Tennessee deal)

you can never rely on the dolphins to get a win when you need them to. jests will blow them out by 21

I think I'm rooting for the Titans Thursday night for the simple reason that I want Peyton Manning as far away from the playoffs as possible. I know he has gagged badly of late, and the Colts are struggling... but I still want them out (and I want Jacksonville in).

Chargers - Chiefs is a tough call.
We want to insure Oakland does not make the playoffs.
KC has a better record than SD; may be better to root for the Chiefs.
On the other hand would be nice if both finish ahead of Oakland.

Raiders have a tough schedule the rest of the way.
I don't see them winning the AFC West.

While much of the focus on this post is next years draft I agree with others it needs to start being slanted toward teams we dont want to play in the playoffs IE SD and Indy.

I don't fear either of those teams.

The Colts are not playing good football and Manning doesn't do well outdoors. We won't be playing the Colts in LOS were they can't pump up the heaters to 95 degrees.

And while I would not want the Patriots to need to travel the West Coast, likewise the Chargers would be coming to Foxboro. When was the last time the Chargers won @ NE?

There isn't a team in the NFL that scares me. But the three toughest teams other than the Pats in the AFC are the Steelers, Jets, and Ravens, not Colts and Chargers. And I would not mind it in the least if the Steelers/Ravens/Jets need to travel to the West Coast the week before we played them.

Have to agree with this as first priority. Knock Colts and Chargers out of the playoff race. A few slot positions in the draft are worth it.

100% x infinity.

you definitely want kansas city to win that one, the chargers are too close to the raiders and the raiders own all the tiebreakers against them the chiefs need some breathing too to get away from the raiders, if the raiders win this week (and they very well could) and the chiefs lose, the raiders are only an easy broncos home win and week 17 matchup away against the chiefs from winning the division and being the 24th pick AT BEST.

yup the chargers lost to the raiders and they can die in hell for all i care.

I will root for the Chargers only because we are now in the hunt with Kansas City for a first round bye, so a few more losses by them can only help us. San Diego can't hurt us at this point because they already have 6 losses and we beat them, so we hold any tie breakers with them (I think?). I also think the Ravens are dangerous in the playoffs, so I don't want them to win.
