Oh really, and why is that? Spoken like someone who reads articles on the Eastcoast Sports Programming Network and doesn't actually watch the game. Cutler had rushed for a 1st down at the Lions' 12 yard line. All that dirty play by Defensive Rookie of the Year Suh did was give Chicago 6 yards. Da Bears offense had their way all day and the Lions only managed 49 total yards in the 2nd half. Game was over. Chicago could not be stopped. :rocker:

So what is it? We can talk about Chicago's glorious 2nd half. But when it comes to the Thanksgiving game we can only talk about how close the game was in the first half? We are going to discount the clinic put on by the Pats offense in the 2nd half of that game?

Is this game an on day or off day for Peppers? He got sacks in three straight games, so I'm guessing he will take this one off.

It will be a tough day given the short week and beat-down of the Jets, but I expect that Cleveland game will be replayed to illustrate what happens when you don't go full tilt after a big win. Plus, Chicago isn't exactly unbeatable at home given losses to the mighty Hawks and the Redskins, two NFL juggernauts.

Touche'

He is actually on a winning team and he enjoys the spotlight. We can thank the NFL for flexing this game, at least Bears can as Julius Peppers enjoys showing up in the National Spotlight. Don't get it twisted you dirty Southies! My Uncle lives in Dorchester right by the Monadnock St area. Recently, he moved there from the south side of Chicago. He is the only white man around. Thus far, he has been hit in the back of the head with a 2x4, hit by a car while on a bicycle, and he has been converted from a White Sox to a Red Sox fan. You don't play fair over there in Beantown! If the game was played in New England:

Bears 17
Patriots 38

Soldier Field:

Patriots 13
Bears 41

It's going to be fun having you around all week.

Guys, look at the tie breakers, this game means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Granted we would have to win the last 3 to insure #1 seed, but the JEST cant catch us even if we lose to them! We win the tie breaker with Pitt too! I'm sure our front office wants a good showing but this is the PERFECT get healthy game and I would be tempted to play Hoyer.

is that a problem?

Real quickly before we get back on topic, yes it is! The police harass him! They think he is buying drugs or doing something wrong. Luckily, people from the neighborhood/projects stick up for him and let the police know that he actually lives there.

I literally LOL'ed. Hilarious. I hope you post all week.

After tonights win, I think the Pats are going to be riding the momentum train to domination next week.

Typical NFL Kick off song:

We Ready!

You aren't playing in New England, if you were I would practically hand the game to you due to the Occult symbols painted on your field and the talent on your coaching staff and offense.

Occult Symbols??? You mean the LIGHTHOUSE and BRIDGE???

The Pats are a very talented team on offense and on defense. You thinking otherwise shows you to be ignorant.

This game is in soldier field. You played on astro turf tonight compared to the field you will see this Sunday in Chicago. Da Bears Defense makes the Jets' look like the little sisters of the poor. Chicago doesn't have to blitz. We drop Briggs, Urlacher, and 5 others into coverage as Julius Peppers and the Front 4 create havoc.

No, the Pats did NOT play on Astro-Turf. Astro-turf hasn't been used on a football field in probably 15 years..

As for Soldier field, so what that it's grass.. You act like the Pats have never played on it or that they are the Colts who play all their home games indoors. I have news for you, Soldier field is an advantage because of the fans only. Nothing else.

As for the Bears defense, that's the same defense that lost to the Redskins and Seahawks.. The same Bears team that has had trouble getting by Buffalo and Detroit..

Briggs and Urlacher are going to be over-matched against Gronkowski and Hernandez. The Jets corners are better than what the Bears have. As for safeties, Manning and Harris are mediocre.

The Patriot D has to cause turnovers otherwise Chicago wins. And they win big. Special teams, you haven't forgotten about it...have you?

Wrong. The Pats win because they outscore you on the offense. The turnovers are a bonus for the Pats. They don't NEED them to win. And, honestly, the Bears offense doesn't scare anyone, though you have a good RB in Forte and a Good TE in Olsen.

As for special teams, the Pats are pretty damn good. Especially when you consider that they held the best kick returner in the league (Brad Smith) to 20 yards per return on 7 returns. OH, and Smith had been averaging 29.2 YPR prior to that.

Yes, You all have Devin Hester. He's dangerous on punt returns. But the rookie, Mesko, has been doing a pretty damn good job. As has punt coverage which has limited opponents to a measly 6.4 YPR.

Instead of running your mouth on a Pats board about how good the Bears are, you should do some homework on the last few teams who have had "good defenses" and what's happened to them when they faced the Pats.. The Pats put up 39 on Pittsburgh and 45 on the Jets. The Jets were 3rd in the league prior to the game and Pittsburgh was 2nd in the league when we faced them.

Jeff - you need to just stop posting.

A win against Chicago is necessary to make sure that, if the tie breakers come down to common opponents, that the Pats have a better record than the Jets.

Bill has never done the "get healthy" game and your fooling yourself to think that he's going to start now.

Knucklehead, maybe its you that should stop posting. Even if we lose the bears game and they beat the bears....as long as we win the other 3 there isnt a tie breaker we can lose. Could GB beat us at home in 2 weeks? I cant see it happening, the choked bad against ATL. Phins?? Bills?? Please. They will be on the golf course before the game or at the mall returning christmas gifts. Call it what you want, and not to say it will happen, just saying it COULD happen. If I can do the math they can too. I think the Bears as home 'dogs next weekend looks like a good bet!

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! I can not believe that i missed this little tidbit the first time around. Why did Chicago lose?

Lance Briggs didn't play!

Chicago only has 1 loss with perennial Pro Bowler Lance Briggs.

No, jeff. I've proven time and again that I know what I am talking about and, the times that I've been wrong, that I own up to it. You, on the other hand, have never admitted to being wrong, even when you've been shown that your entire theory was garbage. You've been taken to task by numerous knowledgeable posters.

There is a reason that they play the games, Jeff. Because nothing is ever a given. As BB has said, TIME AND AGAIN, every game is important. You can be stupid and ignore him, but I won't. Green Bay didn't choke against Atlanta. It was a hard fought game that could have gone either way. Claiming otherwise is proof that you didn't actually watch the game. The Bills and Miami are ALWAYS tough games and never a given.

You've been told before that you need a cranial/rectal inversion and you continue to prove it.

Lance Briggs: Game Logs at NFL.com

The NFL disagrees with you. Briggs played in the game against Washington. He may have gone out early, but he still played.

As for the Pro-Bowl. I always laugh when people talk about it as if it means something. It doesn't. It's a popularity contest. Nothing more.

Also, The Bears should have lost both games to the Lions. Both games, the Lions got robbed. Sorry if I'm not impressed with them..

Chicago has something to prove and the Patriots don't.

Take that for what it is worth...

Hey I was at the Washington game and the only reason DC won by 3 points is because Chicago had 6 turnovers in one half. Do you think that is going to happen again? Do you?

Cutler is like Sanchez. He's always willing to make completions, and he doesn't care whether they are caught by his team or his opponents. Cutler has only thrown 10 interceptions so far this season. He's due for a Manning-like 3-4 pick game.

The Patriots should win the game going away. The Green Bay game is much more concerning to me. Rodgers knows how to protect the ball in comparison.

No. No. No. No. No. No. like Chevy Chase on the putting green in Caddyshack. Sanchez is nothing like Jay Cutler. Dude, you're in for it. It is so on this Sunday. Jay is mobile and he will run for first downs like he has done every single game this season. Jay can throw for 4 TD's against the Iggles so I think he can take care of the 32nd ranked D, right?

Try not to be more ridiculous than is necessary.

1.) Sanchez is mobile, in case you haven't actually seen any games.

2.) Cutler led the league in interceptions in 2009, with 26. He was second in the league in 2008, behind only Favre, with 18.

Jay Cutler NFL & AFL Football Statistics - Pro-Football-Reference.com

Kitna cmp % 65.5
Jon Kitna NFL & AFL Football Statistics - Pro-Football-Reference.com
