  • espn was painful to watch pregame
  • they show a 10-2 sign in the first quarter like they knew?
  • tom jackson was right, it would come down to tackling. Right Cro? Antonio Cromartie Facebook - San Diego Chargers by Glorifythepast.com
  • welker and woodhead in the backfield... Brilliant! It was hard to tell who or where they would pop out.
  • Branch's PI in the 2nd quarter was within 5 yards. WTF
  • does ESPN have no data on the Pats? Calling the University of Florida players alumni of the U of Miami is a big slap in the face.
  • Can we get a OLB out there? TBC looks like the TBC we let go years ago.
  • This dink and dunk offense is what we always knew would counter the Jets blitz. Thank you for getting rid of Moss and adding Branch!

Questions:
Why did we wait for the play clock to complete before calling a timeout in the first quarter? We were up, but is that the sole reason?
Was the Pats defense looking confused all game on purpose or by accident?
Anyone find any classic threads from jetsinsider or ganggreen?

Lastly, because we just won the biggest game of the season I will reiterate my opinion that the Jets are the luckiest team in football. Go Pats!

Well, I missed this supposed gaffe you claim that ESPN made about the Spikes and Cunningham. I heard Gruden refer to them properly several times.

What I couldn't stand was Mike Tirico CONSTANTLY getting players names wrong for both teams. I lost track of how many times he called Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes and Sergio Brown, James Sanders.

The Patriots defense never looked confused out there. The Jets defense looked bewildered from the first TD on..

TBC was doing just fine out there at OLB. What I saw was him and Cunningham making sure that Sanchez stayed in the pocket as much as possible, neutralizing his ability to make plays on the run.

.

Deon Butler apparently plays for us too now.

From the start, it was clear that Belichick with extra prep time vastly, vastly outcoached Ryan.

It's also pretty clear to me that Belicheck adds wrinkles to his defenses each week, adding up like a snowball over the course of the season. He's done it in other seasons, and we saw it again tonight. There was much more defensive shifting, varying coverages, etc, than in week 2, when the Pats were more simplistic. Belicheck really knows how to keep his teams ramping up over the course of the season into the playoffs, especially with such a young defense.

Rex had no answers, nothing he wasn't already doing in week 2.

There was no doubt the defense was on all cylinders this game, but there were several plays where Mayo/Guyton/Spikes were waving to each other like they were out of position. I initially thought this was by accident, but seeing them play it looked like they were doing it on purpose.

They get the wind in the second quarter.

They were driving into the wind at the time, likely to burn the clock closer to the 2nd quarter to get the wind back.

Gruden made a nice bonehead move with the telestrator on Spikes' pick. He circled Mayo haha.
