Maybe there was more to the picture than meets the eye, but Moss has done nothing since he left the friendly confines of Gillette...

This week, he does poorly once again.. Kerry Collins is no Tom Brady, but 1 catch is just about making the box score. Wonder if the press are watching to see if he is "dogging it"??

Wonder if he will rant, rave and ramble if he has the opportunity for a press conference????

Moss is officially over the hill, and useless. Its remarkable that BB got a 3rd round pick for him. There are guys in the UFL who could outproduce him at this point.

Pretty much. Definitely shows you the size of something down there. It worked out just fine.

As much as I'm tired of talking about Moss, I think the action BB took has been pretty much validated by subsequent events, making him once again look like the genius he is. :rocker:

I'm actually shocked by how much of a non-factor he's been with the Titans. I thought he'd at least do SOMETHING there.

I wasn't too gutted when we traded him, but looks like BB was right :)

I love BB :D

His quarterback situation hasn't exactly been ideal in Tennessee either. For those that watched the game today, did it look like he mailed it in?

I saw him in two plays that I watched, but was flipping around the games... One play he lazily attempted to block a CB on an outside run to his side, who then contained the run. Another was a pass to the other side. Didn't really see him, but it looked like he tried to take off on the guy.

I watched the game today and Collins was horrible. There was one long ball underthrown and Moss couldn't get a hold on it. At this point in his career Randy is a true #2 receiver not a #1. I think the Titans are getting Brit back for Indy so maybe that will help. Of course, the receivers cannot throw themselves the ball so things will probably stay the same.

When Randy is not the main receiver he just mails it in. BB getting a 3rd from Minn looks real good now. Moss is done, kaput, over and out.

Have you guys seen the Titans' QB situation? It's terrible. Moss definitely seems to have lost a lot, and quickly, but he isn't this bad. He's also playing with a terrible quarterback in a terrible offense where nobody's producing anything (Chris Johnson had 50-something yards today).

I was suprised how much pressure Jville got on the QB while containing Chris Johnson. From what I saw Collins was never able able to feel comfortable because of the pressure. Moss ran all out on go pattern and had his man beat but again Collins had to get rid of it too quick.

Jacksonville actually has a chance to take the division if Indy doesn't turn it around against Dallas today.

I don't think Jerry Rice could produce with dredge like Rusty Smith and Kerry Collins. Moss has lost some for sure, but the guys throwing him the ball are not even JAG worthy.

Moss is done, kaput, over and out.

Seems a number of NFL coaches don't seem to know this as many times Moss has two guys going down the field with him. I thought BB put two guys on Moss during the Minny game or was Moss entirely in single coverage?

I think it was determined a while ago that BB made the right decision so no need to continue with these threads I suppose.

As for the Titans QB situation, Moss hasn't gotten on-track whether Brady, Favre, Jackson, Young, Smith, or Collins throws him the ball.

In 4 games with the Pats, Randy had 9 catches in 22 targets (41%) for 139 yards and 3 TDs, 6.3 YPA and under 35 yards per game.

In 8 games with the Vikings and Titans, Randy has 18 catches in 40 targets (45%) for 236 yards and 2 TDs, 5.9 YPA and under 30 yards per game.

The Pats were 3-1 with him, 6-1 without.

The Vikings are 4-4 without him, 1-3 with him.

The Titans were 5-3 without him, 0-4 with him.

I'm not blaming him for anything or everything. I'm just saying that he hasn't been an essential part of any of the 3 teams he's gone to, and he hasn't made any of them any better. Not a compelling argument for a big contract this off-season.

BB always seems to come up right when letting big name free-agents go. Just imagine how much it would have cost if we had extended him earlier in the season.

I'm really interested to see where Randy plays next year and for how much.

When we first got rid of him most people thought we made a huge mistake and the Vikings got quite a bargain. They were supposed to "Light up our secondary" back in October. It's easy for you to say that it's remarkable we got a 3rd round pick for him now after he looks like crap, but you can't act like you knew he was trash all along.

You've got to be kidding me. When we first got rid of him most people thought we made a huge mistake and the Vikings got quite a bargain. Not everyone was claiming it was a mistake. I supported the move from the get go.

Deion Branch with more catches and yards in 7 games with the Pats, than Randy Moss has in 12 games INCLUDING his stint with the Pats. Incredible.

Most people did not think it.. some very vocal people thought it, and brought it up over and over and over and over again.. there is quite a difference.

Many of us have learned to trust most of the decisions that BB has made over the years.. he has the uncanny knack of knowing when to let go of the veterans.

Moss will be signed by the Bills next year having a worse season with them then TO did.
