I really believe he was saved for this game and onwards. He could have played v the Lions but my guess is they wanted him fresh and a surprise for the Jets. He pounds the ball just like Dillon did, and if healthy he is our best option in the running game. Imagine him and BJGE as a one two ! Can't wait to see him back and his style of running. If we are ahead by two scores watch him get the ball. I truly believe he will be a factor not only for this game but especially against Chicago and the cold weeks ahead. Good luck Fred Taylor. GO PATS.

is he dressing for tomorrow's game? getting him back would be sweet.

He was dressed up and looked good on the sidelines v the Lions. He will be there tomorrow.

Fragile Freddy is our best RB currently on the roster. If we can get him back to get a 1-2 punch in the backfield of him and BJGE, that would be a huge boost to the offense.

He'll probably run the ball once and get hurt again.

lol when I read this I was thinking Taylor Price. Been so long since Fragile Freddie played(week 3 vs buffalo maybe?).

They would have to respect the play-action pass with him in the backfield, even if he didn't do too much. Also, he's probably the best back at blitz pickup.

Glad the OP wasn't referring to Jason Taylor or we'd have Border War IIIV.

In all seriousness, Fred Taylor will not mean the difference to winning this game or winning a SB. He may have some moments but.....

Who do you want to see get the ball less if/when Taylor starts actually playing? Law Firm or Woodhead? Or do you want to see him take away the one or two carries, at most, Sammy Morris gets a game?

My answer: Love ya Fragile Fred but we've got it covered.

I'd rather see Fred get Morris' carries......if any...

I would just use him as insurance if BJGE or Woody gets dinged.

Give him a few carries to knock the rust off once the game is in hand

I see Jason Taylor as more of a factor than Fragile Fred

IMO, Bennie and Woodhead will be game-planned for, esp. in the first half. The offense is going to have to mix it up and show something different to throw Rex's plan off a bit. Another question is who's our OL/FB in short ydg without Connolly? I think Morris would be matched with Taylor there. Fred may be Fragile but until he gets hurt again, he's the best back we have.

How do you look good on the sideline?

I hope you're right, but...

getting fred taylor back would actually mean a solid 1-2-3 punch with BJGE, Taylor and Woody. :D

This is a fair point but I dunno, I really like BJGE and Woodhead. I'm not so sure they really can be game planned for. If the Jets are keying on them, it opens things up for Tom, in any event. And with the safety position now in some flux for the Jests, I'd rather react to their defensive game plan in that way than change up the backs.

What I suspect will happen is that Taylor will get a handful of carries to give the Jets a different look.

One thing is certain: Whatever the Pats do, it will be well conceived.

.....so it's impossible for them to need depth because Woodhead and BJGE are guaranteed never to get injured?

Taylor is not the best back we have.

thats what I was thinking, why would we take away from whats already been working so well, plus they are younger, healthier, and less injury prone.

If Taylor lines up behind Morris on 3rd and 1, it might be the first time ever that 2 RB's get injured on the same snap. :D

cant wait to watch him play. No more "saving" him, this game counts for a LOT.
