Where is Bart Scott and Co. and all the trash talking you usually hear from the Jets?

While Rex has said a few things and Revis with a little talk,it really is unusually quiet for the Jets to be near silent going into the biggest game of the year thus far for them.

Are they secretly scared of the NE mystique at home and don't want to stir up any material that the Pats may take offense to and use it as motivation?

I think in the first meeting between the teams, the Jets didn't fear the Pats because of how much better the Jets thought they would be,but now with the Pats neck and neck with them in the standings it looks like they are a bit timid to the media.

No matter how much you hear from the Jets players on how they want to be the new kings of the East,I really wonder if mentally and deep down inside, are they really as full of confidence going into this game as they appear to be?

There's just no way of knowing that man. The most ammunition they gave us is Rex talking about kicking BB's ass. I hope they speak up, because I feel that our guys really get silently motivated by that stuff. Plus it makes the W that much sweeter. Holy **** I can't wait for this game! :singing:

Jets have been mysteriously quiet. I think they secretly know how this game is going to go. especially if this forecast holds up. I love watch pats in the snow!!

The snow could make our D look very very good.

No, the Jets aren't afraid of anyone, and there's no sarcasm there. I truly think the Jets think they can beat anybody and all the talk they've done is not false bravado. They've talked. Maybe it seems like less than usual, but they've talked enough this past week. What more do you need when one coach talks about wanting to kick another coach's arse? Do you all really think there should be more? You don't think that alone is motivating the players who love BB so much? C'mon.

The Jets are not afraid of the Patriots and the Patriots are not afraid of the Jets. That's what is going to make this game so good.

I'm sure they have some obnoxious press release being written by 4 PR people and 2 psychologists quoting team members that have never uttered the contained text. Probably we'll see it tomorrow or Friday so we can all get our puking out of the way before seeing them on Monday triggers the gag reflex.

They haven't been totally silent. Classy was running his mouth earlier about getting a win on "that" field in front of "those" fans. Granted, it may not be bulletin board material but it's something. If anything, the crowd behind the Jests bench should let him know how they feel about him.

I think everyone even the normally brash Jets are feeling that this game is huge. It's the biggest game of the year, all eyes are set to watch this game. People who know me and aren't Jets fans are texting me telling me how pumped they are. The hype, the emotion, and the anxiety is there without talking I think thats why the team has been quiet by their standards.

I think we will start to hear from them as the week progresses... stay tuned!

Totally unrelated to the topic at hand. Last year, there were a LOT of people jumping off of our bandwagon around this time. This year, I can't help but notice all of the new names signing up around here. Is our bandwagon getting full again?

As for the Jets, that could be the case. I don't think that they're *afraid* of provoking us. From hearing Revis talk, it sounds a lot like they have a good amount of respect for us.

Ridiculous idea. They are not going to give the Pats motivation. Only guy to "trash talk" was Ryan himself who did it in such a way that it would get his own fans and team fired up but not the Patriots. Smart.

Do they know this will be a tough game? Yes.
Are they thinking they will lose? No.

If you're scared just say you're scared :D

The Pats have 1 or 2 of these BIG games every year. It's never easy when the entire league is gunning for you week in and week out.

The difference is the Pats/Colts and Steelers never run their mouths before the game is played.

My buddy in NY is a big Jets fan. He saw Nick Folk out on Monday night partying in the club with Sanchez. He's worried the team won't be mentally prepared for the magnitude of the game. Let's hope he's right. :)

Folk might not even be on the roster come gameday....I hear the Jets are seriously considering Kris Brown

I bet this weeks practice is very important for the job security of Mr. Folk

Kontra, it sure is getting rather crowded these days.

I haven't been around as long as most of ye, but I think I've earned residency. That said, let's not have a loss just to make leg-room, if that's cool. ;)
