This was great, thank you. Rich is the best.

Hated the part where Brady talks of the player's union and "impending lockout and how we are all one..."

Hilarious pod cast overall, Eisens is hilarious.

i finally figured out who brady sounds like. anyone guess....

listen to him and think of henry fonda. am i crazy ?

Thanks. That was an excellent interview. You can tell that they have a rapport and Eisen did a great job of drawing Brady out about his feelings... feelings about learning to compete at Michigan, about parenthood, and his comment about "all we've been through" with "the impending lockout" and his description of the "brotherhood" of NFL players. He also "let his hair down" about Gisele and her interest in the game, which I had never heard before. I also didn't know that she attends every game but somehow manages to avoid the game cameras and the local press.

Yeah, you can bet the cameras will look for Gisele every game now, knowing that she's there somewhere.

So, not only does he get the supermodel wife -- but she likes to break down football film with him. Such a life.

Good podcast, thanks.

They mentioned how how second son is about to turn one. At the time I dismissed the possibility that his birth was a distraction last season but now I wonder, it almost had to be. Hopefully he will have the better sense to have any future kids arrive in the offseason ;)

I don't have a problem with Brady talking about the lockout, in fact his involvement with the union may be a good thing (as long as he doesn't get actively involved until February). His relationship with one of the lead owners, Robert Kraft, can only help resolve things. The way he was willing to avoid empty rhetoric and then balance his needs with team needs in doing his contract should be an example for everyone going forward.

I haven't listened to the podcast yet. I also don't know if the following is widely known.

But a good friend is a good friend of Eisen. One, he seems likely a genuinely good guy from all I've heard. Two, he's a huge Jets fan.

FWIW....

As long as he's not referring any of the games, I could care less of whom he's a fan.

He was on with Dale and Holley a while ago and mentioned that his brother (whom Holley knows and referred to on the air as "a wild man", and Eisen didn't disagree) is a maniacal Pats and fan and, I believe, lives in NE.

As I look at it, Brady has a powerful incentive for there not to be a strike/lockout. He's already missed one of his prime years to injury, he doesn't want to lose another to a labor dispute.

Also, Kraft and Isray have a common interest in stopping a lockout, since they both have HOF QB's who aren't getting any younger. Manning turns 35 in March, Brady 34 next August.

How is it possible that Brady is going to be 34? It seems like just yesterday he was 22. These kids grow up so fast. :ugh:

I'm with ya. Seemed like just yesterday he was the youngest QB ever to win a Super Bowl. Now if he starts losing his hair I'll feel really old. ;)

love Rich Eisen.

Its an excellent podcast every week. Delighted to hear Brady on it. Really enjoyed that.

That's his brother in law, Scott. He's mentioned him a few times.

I think it's interesting to know what teams these guys root for.

I am told that Peter King is a Pats fan. Given his treatment of BB during SpyGate, that's sort of hard to believe. But the person who told me said it was not remotely a question.

Some guys -- like Mike Francessa re the Yankees -- are open about it. Others not.

Just a FWIW....
