I've been inspired by Brother OTG to create my own consolidation thread. 
Currently four receivers have piqued my interest. I'll start with the first one, and then update the rest tomorrow.
Torrey Smith (6'1 #205) looks like the anti Heyward-Bey. They come from the same school, and apparently have similar speed, but Smith is a thousand times more natural. He runs sharp routes, always appears to give good effort, runs hard after the catch, and is also an extremely talented return man (broke our own Brandon Tate's return records, in fact). Against NC State he had an exceptional game (14 catches for 224 yards and 4 touchdowns), but he could have ended up with even better stats. I saw several times when the quarterback underthrew him so severely that he had to stop, turn around, and run back toward the ball, allowing the DB to catch up and make a play despite 5 - 7 yards of initial separation. There's no reason he couldn't have had 20 catches for 300+ yards in this game. He was that dominating against a pretty darn good defense. Rumor has it that he's going to declare this year, and I want us to draft him in the late 2nd/early 3rd (maybe with the Miss pick? haha). He could be Branch 2.0 in a few years, and might actually upgrade the return game. Really good player.
Just to add some extra perspective: ACC Blog - ESPN The fact that he graduates in December and has a single mother with financial issues makes me think he's gone. Especially since he gives the interview on senior day. Second/third rounder, considering the bumper crop at WR this year, and worth a first in most years, in my opinion. He's very similar to Mike Wallace or Johnny Knox, but I think he's bigger and more physical than either. Essentially, he's DHB with the ability to run routes and catch the ball. Smith, Price, Edelman, and Tate as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year players would be a great nucleus to build around. Branch and Welker aren't going to play forever, as much as I love them.
