Extra Motivation ?

Not that we really need extra motivation for the upcoming games, but was thinking after hearing about the Bronchos/McDaniels incident , might just be the tonic we need for the rest of the season ! The haters will come out and point fingers at us, 2007 all over again. However only one thing that makes those same haters ' Mad ' is the Patriots just winning. So do you all agree with me that this will motivate the players even more when they read all this senseless accusations yet again. The next Super Bowl will be the sweetest, and I pray we can do it soon and see either BB or TB lift the trophy and stick two fingers towards the cameras to all the haters watching. This won't go away till we win the next one. Go Pats.

Meh. Seems to have blown over already. Reported today, both the rumors and the punishment. I bet it isn't even mentioned much on Sunday. After all, how has Denver benefitted by this? They lost the game in question and they stink this year. I think BB and TB have been plenty motivated all year to get to the SB. This won't change that.

I hope you're right, but if you listen to NFL radio or ESPN and think this has blown over already, or will soon, you're engaging in wishful thinking. Wait until you see the pre-game shows tomorrow, particularly CBS with Casserly and ESPN. IMO this is going to stick with the Patriots for days and days on end. It will be a lead story right into the Jets game and likely beyond. Steve Scharnecchia, and likely Josh McDaniels, are either idiots or profoundly arrogant. The fact that Scharnecchia left NE in 2004 or 05 and worked for the Jets in 2006-7 will go unmentioned. Trust me.

Yes Dalero, you are right, most of these guys were not around but they will want to play harder for their Coach and Team because they will read it, hear it all day long ! Just saying maybe it will piss them off so much that they might use it like, us v the rest . Not saying they will run up the score but just get really mad and play with more hunger ! The Patriots are 9-2, playing the Jets who are 9-2, in a game that could likely be the difference between the 1st and the 5th seed. If this team needs to find extra motivation by something going on in Denver, then they should just forfeit the season and fire the coaching staff.
