I'm curious to know if anyone saw what actually happened and what was called? I saw the extra point kicked and all of a sudden players were just scrimmaging with each other, EVERYWHERE! lol

Then the penalties came out and we kicked off on the LIONS 40 yard line. Anyone know how many penalties were called and who was flagged for what?

as far as I got it the Lions got a unsportsmanlike conduct and a unnecessary roughness, while the pats got a penalty too (don't remember if it was a unnecessary roughness too); don't know why the whole mess started though.

I didn't see what happened, but there were only two penalties called, both on the Lions. With the penalty after the touchdown, that gave us two enforced 15 yarders to kick off from the +40

There were actually three personal fouls called on the Lions, offset by one by the Patriots. Too bad the game was out of reach, otherwise we would have seen a sure onside kick...

from what I saw it was Light who ran off the whole crowd smiling, our OLine was still pissed at that horsecoller from Williams #91 i think (which was called offsides) on brady prior to the TD, when Brady tried to hand off the ball to Lawfirm. after all adding to the score, loosers don't take lightly when they are corrected.

If you say so, but that's not what I could have sworn I heard.

I didn't see the Pats one. NFL.com's play by play has it as two personal fouls, one on Suh and the other on Levy, but only one could be enforced. It was combined with the 15-yard personal foul on Delmas on the TD one play earlier.

From the official NFL Playbook.

# 2-1-DET 1 (3:16) 42-B.Green-Ellis left end for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN. PENALTY on DET-26-L.Delmas, Unsportsmanlike Conduct, 15 yards, enforced between downs. WATCH HIGHLIGHT
# 5-S.Graham extra point is GOOD, Center-48-M.Katula, Holder-14-Z.Mesko. PENALTY on DET-90-N.Suh, Unsportsmanlike Conduct, 15 yards, enforced between downs. Penalty on DET-54-D.Levy, Personal Foul, declined.

The ensuing Kickoff was good :)

I heard that Suh told Matt Light that his breath was less than satisfactory. Light retaliated by calling Suh fat and all hell broke loose.

Bart Scott was right.....the lions are the dirtiest team in the NFL....that horse-collar on TFB,should warrant a hefty fine:rocker:

The Lions were just being a bunch of sore losers IMO. There was like 3 holding/cut block penalties on us and they weren't flagged for a single one despite a few obvious infractions. Also an unflagged horse collar tackle. Despite all the home cooking they still got their *** beat. I'd be a sore loser too

I'm pretty sure I heard the ref call two on detroit and one on the Pats too. They probably screwed up. I hate that crew, I always expect problems with that indecisive crew leader.

Correct. Pats never got a penalty to offset.

Another thing I dont get it is why we didnt do a onside kick if we are kicking off from the Lions 40. Not like we would lose a lot of field position if didnt convert and if we did convert the game is pretty much over. I think someone needs to teach that Belichick guy about situational football. ;)

In a closer game, I think we would have. But considering it was a rout by that point, maybe a sportsmanship thing.

Usually when there is a fight or some rough stuff Mankins was involved. I was very disappointed that he does not appear to be the instigator. He must be slipping...

I could have sworn I saw punches thrown

Most fights are won by the guy who lands the first punch.

There's a strategy to be found by combining the above sentences. ;)
