That's a lot of coin to throw at 3 of the premier sluggers in the game. So expect patchwork for 2011, and an all out blitz the year after.

Yea, I think your right. As for Martinez, I don't see what all the fuss is about. He'd be a great DH, but we have Big Baby for another year.

I think Vmart could easily catch for the next couple of years, and then DH. Worst case, he could play first while Youk goes to 3rd. I think the Sox erred a little bit in not making more of an effort to sign Martinez. He's a terrific hitter. He's a below average catcher for sure, but he more than makes up for it with his bat. His WAR is 4.0, good for 3rd in baseball at the catcher position.

WE sign Papi for 12.5, but won't do the same for VMart who can play 3 positions and is far from over the hill??!!!!
