How do you feel about Tom Brady's emotion level in 2010?

  • I hate it. It reminds of Dan Marino and it makes Brady look like a whiner.

It seems Tommy Boy is showing a lot emotion this season, both on the field and on the sidleines, yelling at teammates, himself, etc., trying to get everyone to the highest level of play.

How do you feel about this?

This isn't new, he showed a lot of emotion last year as well. Screaming his head off at Joey Galloway comes to mind.

Agreed that he's always had a certain level of it, but it just seems like he has really ramped it up this year.

I love it. He's always been a bit fiery, but now he doesn't have to deal with Moss' fragile psyche, and the fact that he is the de facto leader of the offense with no offensive coordinator means he can and needs to chew people out at times.

I love it. Absolutely love it.

He doesn't have to babysit Moss anymore. Makes a difference.

I just find it entertaining. The NFL is made to entertain and the Pats are bringing it.

I think it is because of his hair... :D

I hope he is absolutely rip **** against the Jets whenever we miss an opportunity. Theres nothing like a really fired up Brady! We all recall the Steelers game two weeks ago when he literally screamed his head off at the offense for a missed third down opportunity. Then I also loved the spike after his 4 yard TD sneak. Pointing at the Steelers crowd and spiking it with every bit of strength and passion he had. It was kinda beautiful.

I love it. Not only is he visibly taking on even more of a leadership role on offense (whoda thunk it?) but he's also dispelling the myth that he doesn't have any fire for the game anymore.

I happen to quite enjoy it. It gets me fired up when I see him that way.

He's playing well and they're winning; works for me.

I tried using a similar managerial style at work. HR advised me that screaming like a mad man at team members was inappropriate.

Wasn't it Brady himself who said the team was lacking leadership last year? Seems like he has taken it upon himself and it's great to see.

i love it. just wish the hair went. he likes like edge or christian from WWF and/or belongs in the twilight saga

I agree 100%, and I'm glad to see it too.

Brady has always played with some emotion, but he seems more vocal this season especially. I think a lot of it has to do with the youth on this team. There are so many kids contributing that he probably feels he needs to be more of a leader. With two rookie tight ends in Gronk and Hernandez, two second-year receivers still finding their way in Tate and Edelman, and a second-year tackle in Vollmer on the offensive side alone, there is a lot of youth and inexperience to work with and develop.

In the past, he had a lot of the old Patriots around to help get the message across, from Bruschi and Vrabel and Harrison and Willie to Troy Brown and Faulk and Fauria and Moss and Welker. But now he's basically the only connection to the glory days, and it's up to him to take more of a lead.

I think that really is why we've seen him be way more vocal than in the past, and also why I think any criticism of his emotional side is misguided. Brady's saying more this season because he needs to, and I'm glad he's doing it.

He looks like a WWE wrestler in this picture. :p

Absolutely love it.

I like intensity, but sometimes he seems to to ride the guys pretty hard.

I don't think he needs to coddle anyone, but my boss is a screamer, and it rarely motivates me to do anything
