OT: Childress Fired

This is two coaches that Green Bay has taken out now. I knew yesterday when the crowd starting chanting "fire Childress" that he was done.

I'll miss him constantly getting the better of BB on the field, in the draft room, at the trading table...... at least in his mind :)

This topic is not Patriots related and should be removed into a general forum, along with the Seymour and Favre threads, and the Jets Suck thread as well. Just looking for some consitancy from the moderators
They didn't Ban you yet?

Maybe he could resurrect his TV career ...... Major Dad!

Does this mean 12/19 is the last we'll see of Bill? Nooooooooo!!

:D

Ummm, methinks the seat under Belichick is cooler than TFB. :D

He actually turned around a pretty bad team when he took over and got them to the NFC championship game, would have been the SB if not for favre, he just had a short shelf life like most coaches.

Dont take getting your topic moved so personally, no ones out to get you.

He should have been fired last year, but Favre's amazing season saved him. This was just a matter of time.

Lesson for coaches: get Farve, get fired. :D

It's so nice to watch Childress, Favre & Moss all go down in flames.

Meanwhile Belichick has balls of steel for making that trade. How's that workin out? Randy who?

If you ask me, this is one of the few things you can blame on Favre.

Edit: it's a good line, though, and applies to most other coaches.

I can't believe Wade Philips is still available

How does he get fired ahead of Marvin Lewis?

Lewis won't get fired unless they have two 2-14 seasons in a row, because Mike Brown only cares about turning a profit. He should have been fired years ago.

As for Childress, I've been saying for months that if he was still there within a week after the season ended, I'd eat my hat. And now I'm right. :D This idiot bet the house on that ol' hillbilly and busted. Then on top of it he seemed surprised Favre was calling audibles and making stupid throws.

I guess hindsight is always 20/20, but a lot of people said last year was a fluke and no way could Favre do it again. And they were right.

The consensus in Minnesota is that he is a complete jerk..

They should release Lord Favre too

They should release Lord Favre too

I was thinking about this too. Do you respect Favre and let him play the season out extending his consecutive game streak or do you do what's best for the team and play Jackson who will probably be starting next year.

They'll probably end up play Favre because 1) they owe him a lot of money 2) you never know, he may be back next year

The Vikings are going to be bad for the next few years because of this

Not surprised!

As I think Schefter mentioned last night, the last team that lost heavily to Green Bay, was Dallas, and they sacked their coach after :)

Let me be the first to say that I for one hope that we too do not lose big to Green Bay, the Coach Killer Team :eek::eek:

EDIT: Just read post 22. Damn Canadians beat me to it

I kick that ass Favre to the curb because at this point Jackson probably gives you a better chance to win, and prepare for next year.
