Thanks for that ;)

You do realise that last night was a win right?

Just shut up. This team has no business being 8-2 but now they're tied for the best record in the league and people are complaining. Just shut the f*ck up and enjoy the ride.

Oh, and stats are for losers.

Good thing we have Brady to offset those #'s. His stat lines will be better and more meaningful. Lots of those stats against us are garbage. Not that the secondary isn't a weakness (one that is getting stronger) but it's not as bad as it looks.

A wise man once said..."Stats are for losers"

And kudos to the offense, special teams and coaching staff for being able to win when the opposing quarterbacks and offenses are so effective.

BTW, you forgot to mention that the patriot opposition succeeds on 3rd down more than ANY other team in the league.

The best offense in the league statwise is the composite team that plays the patriots. Perhaps we are simply play the best offenses in the nfl every week and have an average defense. Or prehaps we truly have a worse than average defense.

Thanks for that ;)

Wow, just pointing something out that I find surprising, no need to start shooting.

I imagine a lot of this is garbage time like the 200 yards Smuffelsburger had in the 4th quarter last week. BTW these numbers do not include last night.

This stat called the Superbowl correctly last year, the Saints defense was better than their traditional numbers indicated.

This....

There is no reason not to believe that this team cannot win the SB. They are finding ways to win and that is all that matters.

BTW- the 2006 Colts had the worst run D and worst 3rd down D in the NFL and we all know what happened.

We have 13 interceptions actually, ball hawking!

The saints lived off of Big plays on Defense, usually for TD's. Sharper had a career year. They aren't getting those plays this year. Fortunately they got one in the SB :)

Misleading stat. At least 5 of the touchdowns (and probably 500 or so yards) were in meaningless mop-up time (Bengals and Steelers). That puts it at around 2000 yards, 11 TDs and 13 INTs. Really not that bad...

Hey dude, go GFY, how's that for flattering?

Go go gadget f*ck yourself? Is that what you're getting at, or are you too dumb to get a simple invective right?

This board is already spammed with "our secondary sucks" threads. Why the h3ll did you need to make another other than to be a boring troll. You should just stop posting.

This defense comes up big in big situations. They have all season and I don't see any reason to believe it will stop.

People can throw out the 3rd down stat, Completion percentage etc...bottom line, in crucial situations they make the plays and the opposing offense doesn't.

Yeah, but his record's only 2-9. He must be stupid, or something. Give me a QB that can win games.

Newsflash I've been here a lot longer than you, I'm not a troll, just a fan who noticed this odd stat and wanted some input from fellow Pats fans. Sorry if it's not positive enough for you.

Great, you're not a troll, you're an unaware spammer. Post your cr4p in one of the million other 'our defense sucks' threads.

Oh yeah, 8-2, ladies.

No question that our pass defense needs to improve. Not going into a prevent defense with a good chunk of time remaining will help to ensure that happens.
