thank you James Sanders and Cunningham. I thought the nightmare was going to continue. Great win, but I felt the Patriots played not to lose instead of playing to win in the last part of the 4th quarter.

I almost puked on myself when we're up by 3 scores, 10 mins left and we need to burn the clock, and we come out 5 wide.

That crap has to stop! Next drive was better, but not great. We need to have some smarter playcalling there.

Otherwise, I'm pretty happy :)

I'm exhausted.

I have to agree. Why Matt Patricia moved them into a PREVENT defense is beyond me. Especially after what happened last year when they did the exact same thing.

BTW, Can I just say that I wish that Nantz and Simms were fired. I can't stand them as announcers anymore. They are like fingernails on a chalk board. Especially that idiot Nantz.

my heart stopped after our last offensive series...it looked the same story from 09.

Butler replaced Arrington at RCB, but he was playing outside on the DL, kind of like a OLB...what the hell was that?!?!

pats got lucky today....they must have watched the jets the past 3 weeks

enough of this prevent D BS...yes we know the D sucks but blitz more!

Arrington was doing that in the 2nd quarter.....idk

kind of lucky to come out with the win. Handwriting was on the wall for another collapse.

What can be done to stop this? maybe they should have dropped 8 instead of 7, for one thing.

What was Brady so upset about at the end of the game? he's lucky he didn't get flagged.

Honestly? I had no issue with them doing that. With a Manning led Colts, you can never have enough points.

The problem I have is that they didn't seem to run the same running plays they ran last week and that boggled my mind because they would have had even better success against the Colts than they did if they had.

VERY Proud of our Defense! VERY! :)

Thats been our modus operandi for years now, drives me nuts! I don't understand why we give up on what got us there, in this case 31-14, D is playing well, why change it up? It has to be a statistics thing - trade time for points. Would have worked well if the O didn't have those 3 and outs in the 4th, I guess.

Playing not to lose is something you hate to see, but part of growing pains for this young team. Once more, we did not see 60 minutes of football and unless that happens we are not going to Dallas.

I say this win is like the 2003 win over the Colts in the regular season. Like 2003, the Pats got a sizeable lead, the Colts came back in the fourth, and there was a huge red zone defensive play that dashed the Colts' hopes of completing the comeback.

Happy with the win not happy with the fourth quarter from the defense and offense. This team goes into its shell far to often for my liking.

There's so much work to be done before this team is a genuine championship contender. It's impressive that we're here with this young side and early stage coordinators.

Are we really 30th againstthe pass ???

I saw those stats and thought we can't be that bad but watched Manning rip it to shreds..We still won but we must get better than 30th t ohave any shot to go all the way..

I'm still trying to calm down...

I was freaking out when the Colts got the ball for there last drive of the game. Edelman's gotta be breathing a sigh of relief, his drop could of been critical...

I LOVE the taste of post game victory rum and coke! :D

EDIT-I understand there's disappointment in the D, but let's enjoy this victory for at least an hour before griping!

Know who almost chocked and let the team down?

It wasn't the defense.

The defense played very well against perhaps the GOAT for 3 quarters. That is to be commended. And I don't know how hard I can be on it for finally having trouble when Peyton Manning became Peyton Manning again. They came up super big with pressure and the pick at the end so I can't be mad. They did good today defense, very good. I don't blame them for giving up so many points in the end to Manning. Know who I do blame?

The offense.

It was their fault it came that close. They needed one last drive to put the game away and what did they do? A 3 and out and then one first down. They blew it and left the defense out to dry. They had no time to rest and Peyton had no time to get out of a rhythm.

That said our offense is clearly fantastic. I don't think our offense is suddenly terrible, in fact that were amazing all game. But they stumbled at the end and they can't do that. Belichick better make them pay in practice.

The offense was great and the defense was good for 50 minutes, until a complete collapse. This is a great win and the Patriots vastly outplayed the Colts for the majority of the game. Of course, it almost led to thousands of heart attacks, but we pulled it off and that's, ultimately, what matters.

Agreed. Forcing Manning into three interceptions was awesome. Also played the run well all day. Defense won the game when the offense stalled.
