Crable has signed to join the Jets practice squad.

It must still chap their ass that Woodhead is a main part of our offense.

I doubt it, teams usually get much less concerned about their 54th man than fans do. Does it bother you they signed Crable?

Jets obsessed with Patriots. Patriots obsessed with jets.

I liked Crable, but I'd love to see the Jets actually activate him in the game against the Pats. I'm sure BB would have Brady audible a running plays at him.

From the Jets board...

He was good in college, 3rd round pick in '08. Has 0.5 career sacks, so he's ahead of Gholston at least.

It does bother me. I don't like anybody with any inside knowledge going near them. Not that it matters much but still I'd be happier if it didn't happen.

So Shawn Crable's career ended much like Lance Armstrong's.

...with half a sack.

Exactly or else the Jets would have signed Crable the last time he was a FA

If, for some reason, Crable became one of the top four or five most important parts of the defense, then I'd be a little irritated, yes. But, in the end, we have known quantities on defense, and he didn't fit in. The Jest jettisoned Woodhead without having a real idea of what they had at running back. I have a feeling they will be irritated when Woodhead puts together a decent game against the Jest.

Yeah, it's totally different. Jets fans should be especially miffed because Woodhead was basically cut due to the presence of third-round rookie Joe McKnight; the team didn't need two smallish third-down backs, and they had just invested in Pukey Brewster.

People seriously think Woodhead's a player?

He's a marginal contributor. I don't think the Jets would've kept him knowing what they know now. Is he going to take snaps away from Tomlinon or Greene?

He's Rudy, so we all love what he represents, we'll see if he's in the league in 3 years.

We have to love Woodhead for "what he represents"? Too bad, I wanted to love him for averaging 5 yards a carry and 11 yards a catch while picking up blitzes and piling up special teams tackles.

I hope BB put a time bomb in Crable's gym bag.

To the guys who have actually coached/played the game: can the Jets glean a lot more about our D from Crable that what they see on the tape?

Thanks in advance!

Ah. I see you haven't neglected your tradition of mind-bogglingly terrible posts.
